A lot of Bayern fans believe him to be seriously overrated btw.

I could see them selling him to us for far more than 25m in the summer, happy that Thiagio will have settled into his role and will more than replace Kroos.

IF Bayern were to let Kroos go, it wouldn't be in the January transfer window. When Moyes was talking with Kroos' agent, is it possible that they were discussing a summer deal?
 
So we expect this deal to be wrapped up before noon tomorrow then?

Nah, nothing. The credible ones are saying that this is prob not going to happen.
 
With Bayern trailing 1-0, Kroos was replaced on the hour mark by Mario Mandzukic, before goals from Claudio Pizarro and Thiago gave the league leaders a 2-1 victory.

Kroos threw off his gloves and ignored his team-mates on the bench when leaving the pitch for Mandzukic and then revealed exactly why he had responded in that manner in a post-match interview.

Talking to Bild, Kroos said: "I simply did not expect to be substituted. Of course I have to accept that. Plus, I was really angry we were behind."

The Germany international’s contract expires in June 2015 and reports have linked the 24-year-old with a move to Manchester United after talks stalled over a new deal.

But Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has claimed that the club want to keep Kroos and will work on a suitable deal.

"I hope we will reach an agreement with Toni. He is a player that we want to keep in general,” said Rummenigge.

“Now we have to see whether we will manage to get a contract that satisfies Toni and FC Bayern the same way."

Kroos would probably be my ideal midfield signing, to be honest. He makes everything look so simple. Exactly what we need.
 
All we need is for Sphaero and/or Balu to come in and say he's off to us. Do it gents.

We'd still need a defensive midfielder like Bender or Javi Martinez next to him to be the defensive anchor in midfield, but yes I agree, he would be perfect. Love watching him on the ball. Imagine if we brought a trio of germans (Reus, Kroos and Bender) next summer? Would be amazing and would put us on par with anyone.

Apart from the scousers who would have the better players in each position, but yea that would be a dream, just Kroos at this point would be amazing and Balu hasn't been in throwing the mockers on it for at least 15 minutes, ON ?

I still think Fletch has it in him to do that role. He's a better footballer than Bender, and is better going forward than Martinez, albeit Martinez is generally brilliant. And I may be kicking the hornet's nest here but I still think Fellaini can be a very good player here in time. Ideally, we'd have a Vidal/Gundogan-like midfielder to partner a Kroos. An all-rounder, as it were. The more dynamic and box-to-box the better.

But yes, a trio of Germans would be rather awesome. We need to go German!

As good as fletcher has been, energy wise I don't think he can get back to how he was. He's done fantastically well to get to where he has but it'd be unfair to expect him to get his old stamina and work rate back. Still a very useful player to have, and he should be first choice with how everyone else is playing right now.
Gundogan is generally more offensive so I think we'd be too weak defensively with him next to Kroos, I think it's more him or Kroos, and originally I would have preferred Gundogan but his back problems seem rather worrying. Just sign a german there though. Germans and Spaniards.

Probably because you essentially said Coleman would be better then Rafael there (which I strongly disagree with, although Coleman is very good). Rafael only recently has gone into a bit of bad form (its not wonder with everyone else being crap), and I reckon he'll snap out of it sooner rather then later, and it's more so to do with the rest of the defence being a shambles rather then him letting us down.

Ah, sorry, didn't realise that. I shouldn't have swore either. I just get a little sick of seeing people say they want what feels like practically all of the squad replaced. I'll blame my tiredness, ha!

Vidal, Kroos, Reus, Gundogan, Shaw (unlikely), and a CB or two..

Looks like Hernandez wants to move on, so i'd love Falcao or Cavani. RVP might be slippin back to his injury-prone days, so we cant rely on him..
