Arsenal vs. Manchester United

Podolski hasn't been given a chance in the big games the way Giroud has been.

I'm sorry but I'm just tired of watching the same players, make the same mistakes time and time again and yet still starting every week.

Podolski isn't an awful player, he's a German international with over 100 caps. I am confident he would do well for us on the left, as for Bendnter, he won't have to do much in order to perform better than Giroud did at Anfield. I'm not saying that those two are better than Giroud, not in any way, its just that the Frenchman has been in poor form for much too long now and I just want to try something different.

I advocated putting Cazorla on the bench against Liverpool and was roundly mocked for it. What did he do in that game? We looked much better when Rosicky came on. Of course everyone was poor that day but the point remains, sometimes doing the same old, same old won't work and currently we are very predictable in our play and personnel, something has to change, if only for one game.

I think this'll be a draw. Moyes doesn't win away from home at the big teams and both teams have just come off shambolic showings. Hoping for Arsenal to lose, think it has draw all over it.

You looked better when Rosicky came on because at that time we were put of sight, took some of our best players off and we stopped pushing for more goals.

#ifOzilhaddonethatperformance

Yeah to be fair Ozil was muck yesterday and Mata has only had a few games to get used to his teammates. I think the game highlighted the concerns Jose had with him in the current set up of our team defensively, but I still feel he will have a better run with United, right now the whole team seems to be a bit chaotic and disorganized so theres no consistency for Mata to get into either.

Rosicky has been in good form and does tend to improve our general game when we play. I have been critical of him in the past for losing the ball in dangerous areas but he's cut it out recently.

I'm all for having someone to set us some tempo against United. We need to run at Carrick and Fletcher.

If United set up to try and win openly they could get destroyed, if however they take a leaf out of our book for a second and stay organised and counter attack theres no reason they cant get something. I wouldnt have Januzaj for this one, Mata, Rooney and RVP with Fletcher and Carrick.

I think that we are capable of winning it, smash and grab 1-2 or 0-1.

They are coming off of a hammering, we will need to press high up the pitch and have a backup plan that doesn't involve crossing the ball into the box

4-1 Arse

Moyes ended a nine year run of home victories against Fulham.

On Wednesday Arsenal will score more than 2 goals in a game against us for the first time in 13 years.

Go on Dave, do it!

I want a 5-0 and a 'Robin, Robin, what's the score?' resounding from Arsenal throughout the provinces, and then for his crying face to be printed on the coinage.

Considering there's no expectation lef and we're going to get inevitably dicked, can we do the extremely radical thing and play like - you know, differently to say crossing the ball every 5 seconds. Sounds completely off the rails I know but surely its worth a try now that we can try and enjoy ourselves till this season comes to an end.

Admittedly Mata was poor today, but I still think Mata is the hungriest player in there right now, he has a point to prove for a start.
He was the only player who showed any variation to the cross or die routine we opted to play. He's a lovely player to watch and was our best player today by some distance.

You seriously think he was poor Rob? In spite of the shit 'spread the ball wide at every opportunity' tactics he's being asked to employ?

Honestly, if we play like we did against Fulham, we'll batter Arsenal. Top teams aren't used to defending cross after cross after cross after cross.

Hopefully.

I don't fancy our chances but then when i think about it if there's one team in the world we could beat no matter how poor we are its Arsenal.

second that

Solid 3-0 Arsenal. We've been Moyesed, no more voodoo over them.

Shots of target: Arsenal 9 - 3 United
Posession: Arsenal 68% - 32% United
Passes: Arsenal 608 - United 411

Yes, I am in a depressing mode. Time for the drop of Mata. This is the game for both Valencia and Young. The defensive wingers who are a bit shit defending and even worse going forward.

I think that the result may be something ridiculous like 3 or 4 for them and 0 or 1 for us.

De Gea

Smalling Vidic Jones Evra

Valencia Carrick Rooney Young

Fellaini

RVP

GGMU! In Moyes we trust!

If a miracle happens on Wednesday, we'll (still) be in seventh heaven, there's absolutely no doubt about that
