Film The Movies I want to see thread

Nah Cage isn't a shit actor Claymore, he's just really weird about his choice of films. He's done some excellent stuff though, and with the right material and director he's excellent.

Cage is a brilliant actor given the right role (Adaptation, Raising Arizona, Bad Liutenate, Matchstick Men, Lord Of War etc) and he is entertaining as hell when he is not bringing in the amazing performances (Wickerman, Vampire's Kiss, Ghost Rider, Drive Angry). Either way, I enjoy his performances.

Why has Liam Neeson been making the same film for the last 10 years? Didn't he used to be a proper actor?

Love Actually's a weird example tbf. He was more a Schindler's List, Rob Roy, Michael Collins type actor.

Though there were some top actors in Love Actually. God help them. Emma Thompson, for example, single handedly saves that film from being pure evil.

Took Neeson a long time to make it as a bona fide star. He mixed it with films like Darkman (fun and just about to get a nice Blu Ray), but Taken showed he could open a film on his own. Not bad for a man in his sixties.

Erm not true he did The Grey where he beats up a pack of wolves, very different film.

What's ironic is that in the 90s he turned down the Bond role cos he "wasn't interested in starring in action movies"
