If januzaj is on the bench then kagawa needs to start... No creativity otherwise. Welbeck/Valencia/young only put in defensive shifts from the wing when they play there. Offer nothing going forward.

Valencia and Kagawa is what am hoping. Valencia and Young wouldnt surprise me. No Januzaj isnt surprising at all. Surprised if Clev starts as I was hoping to see both Fellaini and Carrick.

Man Utd: DeGea; Smalling Vidic Ferdinand Evra; Valencia Carrick Cleverley Young; Rooney van Persie.

According to Ogden, so 99% chance of it being accurate. Valencia and Young... :)

#MUFC XI: DeGea; Smalling Vidic Ferdinand Evra; Valencia Carrick Cleverley Young; Rooney van Persie.

Argghhh. Both start. Not surprising but still was hoping Kagawa would start.

Young and valencia. Ffs.

Kagawa definately gone in summer

Ffs moyes. Right when we have our best performance of the season he goes back to playing the shite we all hated to see and what made us play like shit in the first place. It's like he just doesn't understand united at all and gets it right once in a while when he happens to play our best players, then in the next game goes all defensive again.

No way. Olympiacos will only be tough because of the atmosphere but individual wise, they lost something like their 4 best players during the group stages or they are out injured... We really should win this. Any loss and our confidence shoots all the way down and we'll struggle to pick ourselves up again.
Fair point, missing their best will hurt them.
I expect a win, I just think it will be a tough game.

Confirmed by the official twitter now. It's a horrible line up. No Januzaj, no Rafael AND then Valencia and Young too. However, I'm hoping that they make me eat my words and we will hopefully see a good performance and a win. A few weeks ago we didn't want Ferdinand anywhere near the team and he has come back in and been decent last two games.

United subs: Lindegaard, Büttner, Fellaini, Giggs, Kagawa, Hernandez, Welbeck.

No Rafa, Evans, Jones or Januzaj then.

CONFIRMED MUFC XI:

de Gea

Smalling
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Cleverley
Young

Rooney
van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, Buttner, Fellaini, Giggs, Kagawa, Hernandez, Welbeck.

So no Rafael, Fletcher or Januzaj from the travelling squad. Interesting.

Meltown before the match starts!

Smalling at RB - Check
Valancia starts - Check
Young starts - Check
No Kagawa or Januzaj - Check
Change to the playing style - Check

Whilst i don't think it is a surprise i can see why some people may be disappointed.

Is Rafael still suffering with the after effects of concussion or is this something else now?

The annoying this is it's hard to know whether he's picked this team because a) this is his preferred starting XI or b) He's taking Olympiakos lightly.

Either way it's very disappointing.

Is what bothers me the most. You just cant play any other way with both Valencia and Young starting.

We'll win this tie either way unless we have some massive meltdown, which I highly doubt we will. But still, there's no need what so ever to take a cautious approach in this one. Should of stuck to the exact same system as the weekend and had Kagawa in place of the cup tied Mata. Januzaj could of been rested for Young if really needed too.

Not worried as I'm confident we'll win tonight.

That is fecking disgusting. feck off.

Kagawa´s career at United is over...
No way in hell is he staying for another year.
