Hes had plenty of chances where he could have made runs and won the ball if he gave some effort. Hes not even trying. Hes one of our best paid players and hes doing nada. Hardly makes himself available for a pass the few times Rooney has the ball in a decent position. Happy with retiring with one trophy I guess.

I've desperately tried to defend Moyes as much as possible this season but now... I just don't see it. I mean, this is far, far worse than any of us could possibly have predicted. We mostly knew it would be difficult, but this is just dreadful.

Rooney's reverted back to playing it safe and turning back when there's space in front of him. In the first half of the season he'd started running with the ball again and beating players.
