Manchester United vs. Liverpool

Old Trafford has been easy and a few posts above you were confident of a 3-1 win.

Shame that you don't want to take me on the bet.
Please take the bet and shut him up. Fed up of seeing his thinly-veiled and conceited smugness on here.

Toure won't be playing. If it's Agger and Skrtel we need a similar performance that we got from them last time against you where they were top class.

They defended a ton of crosses. It wasn't hard. Hopefully we show a bit more invention this time.

Agger's a good defender but you would not put him up there with the best from Liverpool teams of the past. Skrtel has had a decent season but there was a reason you lot were looking to get shot of him.

If Moyes is adventurous and allows our front four to get at your back line we can do something. If Moyes plays not to win, allows you lot to dominate the ball and lets you feed Suarez and Sturridge constantly then we're up the creek without a paddle.

Last game wasn't just crossing.
Obviously he's nowhere near our best defenders of the past.
I'd rather see you come at us and hit you on the break.

Strange. When you went to City you attacked and that's why you got such a good result.

I suppose sitting back and absorbing the crosses worked for you at Anfield and if Fulham can pull it off...

But if we can show a bit of ingenuity and try to mix it up you will regret sitting back and letting us come onto you.

de Gea

Rafael
Smalling
Jones
Evra

Carrick
Fellaini

Welbeck
Rooney
Mata

van Persie

SUBS: Lindegaard, Vidic, Cleverley, Valencia, Nani, Januzaj, Kagawa.

If it's Webb we should go very aggressive with them. We know he won't give a big decision.

What is more important to Moyes' long term future, a good result against Liverpool or reversing a two goals deficit against Olympiakos?

I have a feeling he'll keep Kagawa and Januzaj on the bench, leaving four to choose from: RVP, Rooney, Welbeck, Mata, Young and Valencia.

Rather Webb than Atkinson.

It's going to be Atkinson isn't it?

Very confident if we're at our best we'll beat them. Moyes has some big decisions to make

...anyway...Jose convinced me that Chelsea will win the title. all we need to worry about is putting a string of results together.

Our little Pony vs Citys mighty Stallion? You sure?

Today Moyes seemed to be in a 'nothing to lose' mood before the match. If that is perhaps now the view, that lack of pressure with this view of looking forward could aid the way we approach games.

If he goes in with the failed 'let's try not to lose but lose anyway' tactic, we'll lose badly against a free scoring side. If we keep our shape but try to play football against Liverpool who do possess a level of defensive frailty (though their attack has managed to cover that up significantly), we might have a game on our hands.

I don't expect anything but I can't say I'm not hoping for a surprise our way. Don't change the side too much, if at all and I'll be confident in us not losing to start with.

Go to this losing formula of Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia and Tom Cleverley in big meaningful games and I'll be resigned to a poor display and a loss. I think you can just about justify Valencia out of the three, possibly in for Januzaj but with 8 days rest and the fact we can all see Januzaj is by far more threatening as an attacking force, not to mention the fact that Liverpool don't have imposing wingers and fullbacks (this isn't me saying they're crap but they're not insane physical beasts who will need special treatment).

Either way history tells me to expect the worst after a decent performance, so I will.

I'll take a draw.

---------------De Gea-----------
Rafael--Smalling---Jones---Evra
---------Fellaini---Carrick-------
Mata--------Rooney-----Januzay
---------------RVP----------------

I'd rather see an extra central midfielder in there or drop RVP and play Mata centrally but that's not going to happen.

I tried, but as I expected he chickened out. Full of fluff this season, 'Pool fans, and Barney is the leader of the gang.

Let them make hay while the sun shines. It's only temporary.

Would you like us to mourn you or something?

I'm probably a lone voice, but I've been a bit underwhelmed by Januzaj, following him bursting on to the scene to such devastating effect. I'd play the same starting line-up with Welbeck instead of him, possibly Nani if he's ready, but certainly to come on as a sub at some stage.

If you are that confident, fulfill your end of the bet irregardless if anyone takes it up because like BarneyLFC, it's silly to we'll have an easy game ahead.

hope it is not going to be howard fecking webb. that man is a big time bottler. still don't understand why he is still regard as the number 1 ref in england. maybe perhaps because he has a broad chest and is 6 feet 3 inches tall. prefer clattenburg and his transplant spiky hair anytime.

tempted to start adnan but would probably rest him and gives him a start in the CL. welbeck did well yesterday and could do with a start here.

i'll start van persie simply because he is still our best goalscorer and he has a great record against the big teams.

You know you arent a great Ref when both Liverpool and United are worried about you controlling their game.
