Manchester United v Olympiakos

Not a wholly inspiring XI it has to be said. Not entirely convinced.

Giggs isn't a bad shout (our best player v Madrid last season) but Valencia and van Persie don't warrant starts, IMO. Kagawa very hard done by. Again.

 fecking David moyes, what a terrible lineup. Well done moyes. You've managed to ruin united, now kindly feck off.

In a game where we need goals, we play welbeck on the wing and Valencia. Superb thinking. Also, if Nani is fit then why is he not at least on the bench?

Couldn't stomach it, so he went bowelling.

The midfield is woeful. Is this seriously the best we could have picked? Janujaz, Kagawa and even Fellaini on the bench.

I want to see us go through but I don't think this team is good enough to get the job done.

Jesus fecking Christ, you've got both Fellaini and Fletcher on the bench yet he plays Carrick and Giggs in the middle and Valencia on the right side. I'd understand playing Valencia if Kagawa occupied left but this is just retarded. Ugh. Can't fecking wait.

Two strikers was as obvious ( and as retarded ) as it gets.

Don't really like that team. Never a fan of seeing Giggs in any side these days. Van Persie again gets in despite playing poorly. Welbeck will be out wide, likely where he can do a job but that's pretty much it.

When we're struggling later on I guess kagawa could come on and "get on the ball as much as possible"

Who cares about the lineup at this stage? They've all been wank this season. Let's just back the players that have been chosen and hope that we turn this bloody thing around.

Shit lineup. Some people just never learn. Moyes is apparently one of them.

That team is such a joke. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet with Jones and Rio at the back and we aren't scoring three or four goals.

We've tried everything lads. Time to go back to good old Valencia on the right. Lets hope he hits those shins hard enough to earn us a few corners.

That midfield is a bottom half Prem quality one.

Unless Rooney and RVP carry us there's no chance we are doing anything here tonight.

Away Goals Rule...
"Away goals do count in extra time. This happens if during extra-time both teams score the same number of goals, then the away goals count double and the visiting team advances. However, if no goals are scored during extra-time, the winner is decided by penalty kicks."

That line up  Rio, Giggs, Valencia... that midfield four is horrendous. Why is Carrick playing ahead of Fellaini?

Textbook 4-4-2, with Rooney and RvP getting into each other's way again. Set pieces will be our only hope.

Did everyone here think Valencia would never start again? He gave us the line up everyone wanted vs liverpool and they were gutless. Guess it's not as simple as 'not playing young or valencia again'

Un-fecking-real. I'd rather he play hungry players than people like RVP who at the moment are out of form and look like they don't give a shit.

We need to hope that the Greeks are spectacularly shite tonight.

Shit lineup. Some people just never learn. Moyes is apparently one of them.

This is my biggest issue with him. It's going to be straight forward. Get it out wide and cross. I'd bet we'll put in 50+ crosses tonight

Carrick and Giggs with Rio behind them. Not to confident about that at all.

Also Welbeck is wasted on the wing.

Tbf he put out  XI against Liverpool and we still got thrashed.

Can I baggsie the headline 'Greek Tragedy' for tomorrow mornings back pages?

Don't have a problem with Giggs playing, looks like a good game for him.

Not convinced by the front four though. If we're going to do this it'll be the hard way.

Ferdinand is always a worry these days as well.

Still think we'll win tbf.

Aye. I'm not surprised with that lineup. Just thought that Vidic would play instead of Rio (until I saw that tweet, which made me change my lineup in lineups game) and possibly Fellaini instead of Giggs, though this is the sort of game Fergie'd play Giggs in anyway if he was here.

So, am I the only one to get a bit of a lift with Giggs and rio starting?

This could be our last CL match for a year or two. I'm gonna enjoy it no matter what

Might be last time Giggs and rio will ever play in Europe.

He must really hate Kagawa.

He even made it seem like he would consider playing him tonight. Proper trolled.
