Manchester United v Olympiakos

Its hard on Moyes. Even if he puts out a team we are all expecting (I have no idea what that is anymore), when the team plays crap, he gets in in the neck.

I dont mind this line up, it has more than enough quality to beat Olympiakos. Whether the team has the mental or motivational capacity to do so is another matter.

Carrick/Giggs CM, what could possibly go wrong? still not dropping the poor performers (Carrick/RVP)
Whatever....

But yeah, final CL game for a while so may as well try and enjoy it.

Carrick and Giggs has never worked. Ever.

So though he was a positive influence when brought on in Greece, Kagawa is left on the bench again?

Giggs-Carrick in CM is another worry of course.

Oh well, let's hope that Olympiakos are nervous.

That looks a side destined to do the one thing we can't afford to: concede.

So, Kagawa to come in for Welbeck at 77th minute. You heard it here first.

Well, if anything we're going out with a flourish. Actually, it's probably more of an arthritis-ridden hand with a tremor. An extremely underwhelming hand at that.

He's got a better midfield four sat on the bench.

I'd sooner see Januzaj-Fletcher-Fellaini-Kagawa than that quartet.

He has hasn't he?

Given how poorly RVP has been playing recently I'd actually say that probably 5 of the 6 outfield players on the bench, if selected, would have made for a much better team.

Is there any chance we're playing some kind of really agressive 4-3-3 with Giggs and Valencia as nominal CMs? Please?

Likely the last CL game at OT for a while, best enjoy it if we can.

All we need now is for them to line up 4-4-2 now

Can you imagine, if we end up selling a tremendous player like Kagawa, and the reason is David fecking Moyes?

Tbh, couldn't give less of a shite about the lineup, lets have it!

Hope Giggs and Rio somehow have immense games.

It's a football match, why is the line up not relevant?

If people just want to stand in an empty room and be entertained with themselves going "Whey-hey" then fine but if you're a football fan how is who your team plays not of interest?

Giigs-Carrick in the Champions League eh? Time to roll back the years to 2011

Can you imagine, if we end up selling a tremendous player like Kagawa, and the reason is David fecking Moyes?

It's easy if you try.

"We like Kagawa bla bla bla bla bla " I cannot wait for Moyes to feck off

It's like he doesn't realize that people involved in the sport can hear him say these things and see them in print.

It's a bizarre level of obliviousness.

Well, if there was ever a night for RVP and Rooney to come through for Moyes...

I'm not overly confident mind...

Yes it has.

The best bit about Giggs playing in CM is he won't be forced into passing the ball to Valencia at every opportunity. He's not scared and he's got some bollocks about him. The bad thing is we'll likely need to score at least 4..
A pair of stones and some vision.

Shame the lad isn't 21 right now, our midfield could do with a lot more of that.

So though he was a positive influence when brought on in Greece, Kagawa is left on the bench again?

Giggs-Carrick in CM is another worry of course.

Kagawa is a non-person as far as Moyes is concerned, certain to be sold if he is still managing us in the summer. Not really surprised he isn't playing with that in mind. It sucks but I'm approaching acceptance.

Giggs-Carrick is dodgy but if ever there's a stage where Giggs can still perform then this is it. I'd actually sooner drop Carrick.

Yeah, Olympiacos might implode regardless of what we do. Moyes' best chance really.

Still, if this goes wrong it could be spectacular.

Finally!!! A mofo in midfield who will control it for us. Hopefully Carrick will move up the field today and the inclusion of Welbeck and Valencia give us pace and running in abundance. Looks like a United team and not a new fangled Moyes bastard team.

Ironically, Giggs' inclusion is probably Moyes best decision in that lineup. Too bad he's pretty much buggered up the rest of it.
