I think the open nature of the opposition has something to do with the pattern of the game.
We weren't playing olympiacos all year. They've been horrible. I reckon we could win this by a few more goals. Come on united!

We only ever start playing when we go down. Anyways, there hasn't been a huge amount of quality, little glimpses throughout but the desire is great to see. Playing for personal pride I think.

The implemention of Giggs and Welbeck to our starting 11 has had more than a positive effect on the team. If Giggs was 10years younger, he would be starting every game for United.
My big concern now is we will stop playing like we have in the second half in fear of conceding an away goal.
DDG double save was the turning point for me, if they had of gone it game would of been over.
Great first half, though they still look dangerous. They're a technical group of players who are good at creating space. I hope we don't score a 3rd and sit as deep as possible for the last 20 minutes. That would be torture, and I can see them scoring if we do that. Their balls into the box have been excellent. If we get that 3rd goal, I hope we can control the game from there.
Welbeck's been great in general when he's played this season. Not just tonight.
I was personally delighted Giggs was playing. So much experience..he knows these types of nights so well. We need that tonight
Yup, also always opens up to receive a pass and play a quick one right when he gets it. Ups the pace considerably. Nobody else in our team does that for midfield.
Bit of desire from the players tonight, not before time. Particularly Van Persie looks like he trying more, even taking away his goals. Nice to see signs that the Rooney-Van Persie partnership can actually work as well. On a side note, how the hell is Valencia still on the field with his eye like that?
