Good performance going forward but we looked very shaky at the back. Still we're 2-0 up and that goal at the last minute of the first half was great and should help us keep going in the second half.

The penalty was soft but who cares. Also, my love for De Gea is reaching scary levels.

Great heart warming half. I'm scared to feck though, they are having a lot of joy down our left, Pat needs to reign himself in a bit.

Fantastic scoreline, a lot of huffing and puffing and a lot of effort but still looking a bit dysfunctional in terms of shape and general defending.

Have to agree with this statement. A huge differance between this and other games is that there is actually huffing and puffing.

Confidence has looked fragile but that shouldn't be a surprise.

People can talk about tactics, but in games like these it's hard to beat a bunch of players giving it their all...

Kinda ironic that DDG has been such a hero in this game considering some united fans were saying he wasn't good enough to be a united goalkeeper just over a year ago!

I swear to God, if anyone starts talking about who we're going to draw in the next round before full time, I'm gonna hunt them down and have a good talking to with them explaining that the match hasn't ended yet so you can't be too sure if we'll be in the pot for the draw.

We still have to win the second half, which should be okay if we play like the first half. As long as we don't sit back.

I loved how Evra, Van Persie, and Rooney came rushing forward to collect the ball and hurry back after the penalty was scored.

It's only half time, but I'm really proud of the lads for their sheer passion in that first half. More of the same in the 2nd half and we'll go through.

Think the ref's been poor. Plenty of little decisions I thought were dodgy, should've given us a second a penalty, and bizarrely can't seem to get himself out of the way of play.

"Would fellaini have played that ball"
 made me laugh. Great point, but still funny. Can't imagine fellaini playing a pass like that.

Let's just remember to not get carried away - one Olympiakos goal and we're in the shit, the team has to temper their excitement to an extent and try to exert some control over the game.

Thats what happens when you play positive football

This team is 10x more defensive than the other teams Moyes has put out. Difference is, this is Manchester United and not some Spanish wannabee team so the team know how to play this. Rooney stays deep, we get the ball on a break, its played into Valencia who runs basically into their box or interchanges with Rafael and Rooney and boom something happens. None of this pass to Mata to Rooney to Mata to Januzaj to Rooney to Mata to Rafael then cross.

Have we got anyone on a yellow that'll miss the next match if they pick up another?

Olympiakos have been dreadful so far, not clinical enough in front of goal and careless in defence. If they pull themselves together they will score because we have offered them enough space to create chances.

As for us, we have been decent but I wouldn't call it a brilliant performance by any stretch of imagination. We need to step it up a little and control the game more.

Amazing how often you think 'That's a goal'...and then DDG does the near-impossible.

We've done really well to take our chances and get back level. But they don't look under enough pressure for me. We need to expect a resurgence from them in the second half and be proactive about it. Hit them fast and hard with our attacks and start racking up those attempts on goal. Let's aim to get them running back towards their own goal more often.

Forget the tactic, the technique, the desired they showed transformed all of them and made them better footballers. It's impossible to be like that for every game but there is a big improvement to be made in that aspect. A lot of football games are won by mental strength.

I just wish evra would rush back to defense! he'll cost us if he can't even get down to some grueling hustleback at such a crucial game like this. If not for dave we'd be needing 2 goals because of evra.
