Team should be...

-------------De Gea--------------
Rafael--Ferdinand--Jones--Evra
-------Carrick-----Fellaini-------
Welbeck-----Mata-----Kagawa
-------------Rooney-------------

Subs: Lindegaard, Buttner, Cleverley, Valencia, Januzaj, Young, Hernandez

Valencia will play instead of Kagawa and Welbeck with play from left side. I would bet several thousand pounds on that. Rest of the team is accurate though.

I can't see Giggs not being in the squad after Olympiakos.

He'll miss the Villa game and have had a weeks rest for Bayern Munich.

Maybe I'm overstating Moyes' thinking of his current importance, but I cannot see him being left out of the squad for City or Bayern.

I agree, I think it's almost certain it'll be Welbeck, Mata, Valencia (left to right) behind Rooney.
I guess the rest of that team picks itself, no other fit defenders available, and Moyes won't start Fletcher twice in 3 days.

Jesus, didn't realise we were playing City so soon. Thought it was next weekend or something..

Hopefully Rio will be able to play, we were forced to play Carrick instead of him because he had a slight knock. You can get away with it versus a team like West Ham were you got to cover Carroll but with City it will be a different matter.

Hope for

We should be acclimatising Buttner to the team as much as possible in prep for Bayern.

I'd love to see Nani make an appearance, and feel he will only serve to further improve the quick passing, .moving we are starting to see, just a shame it comes a bit soon perhaps, also Januzaj has seen his performances drop, perhaps due to burn out of his first real season, but I'd love to see Kagawa Rooney mata and Hernandez up top

Me too. I hope we offer him a new 1 year deal and he stays
Same. He's a proper leader and loves the club. Even if we sign a new LB I'd like him here to play some games and by all accounts he's a big personality in the dressing room.

This would be my choice to a tee. Our best technical players on the pitch and go for it. Moyes has no excuses any more.

Would love to see this.

I love my team but we'll get murdered... hope I am wrong. We'll give them a fight, in no way I want my team to give them the win.

I have a feeling Carrick and Fellaini will again get ripped apart by City... the two of them just aren't mobile enough...

However, it is our only real option, as Fletcher can't play twice in 4 days. Unless he does something similar to what he did vs. Olympiakos - but with Mata playing where Rooney played... but that's probably too attacking for City.

Oh, and it'll be Valencia on the right, not Kags... unfortunately.

You've asked this from us many times, now its our turn. Beat City for us will ya? Good lads. :)

No.

Expect random back passes from Rooney straight to Negredo like Gerrard did.

Don't worry, Gerrard will not equal Luke Chadwick's record of 1 EPL winners medal anytime soon. Dream on

He's been brilliant for us - a real warrior - I'd be fine holding on to him in some sort of coaching capacity, but he's done a Neville and outstayed his playing ability. Plus, he's kept his bib clean in public, unlike fecking Rio who can go feck a deck.

yeah, I said it to make it rhyme.

Good thing is that Aguero is not playing. Negredo/Dzeko have lost a bit form in the last few games but they still have threat from midfield, as shown against Fulham. We've still got a great shout of beating them at OT. I know that our form hasn't been great at home this season but the fans prove how decisive it can be to have that 12th man pull the team through, as long as the team themselves put in a performance worthy of winning the game.

De Gea

Rafael --- Jones --- Carrick --- Buttner

Fletcher --- Fellaini

Januzaj --- Mata --- Kagawa

Rooney
Vidic has got a groin strain so not sure if he'll be back. If Evans returns tomorrow then he would be in place of Carrick and Carrick would drop back into his usual spot, in place of Fletcher.

Buttner over Evra as he needs more game time against top opponents before Bayern.

Have to go three in the midfield.
de Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Jones Evra
Giggs Carrick Fellaini
Mata Rooney Welbeck

If Man City win this game, they automatically become hot title favourites over Chelsea. I believe that Man Utd at OT are the biggest obstacle standing in the way of a second title in three years for City. With a victory in this game, the confidence of the Man CIty players will be sky high, and I can't see them losing so easily to the likes of Arsenal or Everton.

It's on.

What's all this bollox about helping Liverpool? We're not them. We won't have zero shots on target against City (like Liverpool vs Chelsea in 09/10 season) just because beating them may slightly improve Liverpool's chances. If we lose it's because City are better, the winning mentality wicked in most of our players is too strong to do a Liverpool and humiliate ourselves without fighting.

Right, I'll be honest...

I hope we beat City, it'd be fantastic and the highlight our our dreadful season. It'd give something back to the incredible support.

However, if we lose I won't be too disheartened. Mainly because I expect us to lose and would not be too alarmed to see City move closer to the title than Liverpool.

There, I said it.

I know we have been and done the half and half issue, but I hate them they should all be burnt.

I just look at them as souvenirs for the day trippers. Imagine if you lived in China and after supporting United all your life you finally got to watch them live at Old Trafford. You can understand why they'd buy it to remember their day.

Don't think there's too much wrong with that...Obviously we all want a win, but a loss would very much be a cloud having a silver lining.
