Not the players we want, or we hope to sign, but the players you expect us to sign in the Summer.

Which players do you think we're gonna target, attract, and financially meet to sign this Summer?

Carvalho for £38m, Coentrao for £17m

Out, Evra, Ferdinand, VP, Hernandez

Seems the most likely to me too. I honestly don't see us signing the top names like Kroos, Gundogan or Reus; those are such pipe dreams.

Entirely disagree about the Outs, letting go two strikers with no replacements is suicide.

Probably Barkley, Jagielka, Baines

If Moyes stays, I can only see this players would want to play for him, and even that it'll be at a premium price.

Moyes needs a CB : Jagielka LB: Baines Midfield : Barkley (all three at the cost of 60-70M)

I'm surprised more people don't want us to sign a winger or two.

We haven't signed a first team winger since the summer of 2011 and that was Ashley bloody Young. In that time Valencia has also transformed from one of the most effective wingers in the league to one of the worst.

Both need replacing.

We need 5 stars, no question. I think we will get 1, maybe 2 then a few Fellaini like disasters.

We need to throw the bank about like never before.

Lallana, Coentrao, Carvalho, Barry, Garray.

If its only £1oo mill we won't get 5 world class players. Fact. All the top teams will be after them so the price will rocket.

You people actually disgust me turning on Fellaini after a bad game when everyone played badly, when he was one of our best players in the two games previous. You don't know a thing about football, if a player doesn't pass like he plays for Barca he should be forced out of the club? Liverpool fans support their players through thick and thin, it's sad to see in these times how much worse united fans are with a player who is not going anywhere (think about it, is he really going to be sold) every day you come on here and cry and moan about him. So pathetic

I agree with what you're saying, but not the way you are saying it, which in itself is pathetic.

Fellaini was utter shit in the City game which is obvious to all, but it is ridiculous to turn on him in an instant after he's been consistently good in every previous game coming back from injury.

just get frustrated when i come on here, the biggest united forum, and I want to support my team. This is where I want to talk football with people. And there's this nonsense every single day

Then I look at all my friends that support liverpool all these years. They finished 6-7-8th for several years and kept the faith in their players. 'Skrtels a good player, jordan henderson had plenty of potential at villa, suarez is our player we have to support him through all this' etc etc, kept it up for years. And I guess I'm jealous that my friends just sit around saying how bad every player in the squad is, that we should sell felli for 5 million, valencia/cleverly should never play again etc. gulf in difference

But will they be willing to make the step down ?
As absurd as it seems, if they make the champions league for next year it might not be such an outlandish thought!

Completely agree, but we are stacked with forwards as it is and it's a struggle to give them all game time. Unless something drastic happens and Van Persie leaves I think we're stuck with a first XI of Rooney behind RVP with Mata on the left, with the final spot up for grabs between Kagawa, Welbeck and Januzaj.

The whole front line is a mess at the moment, really pisses me off. I don't think the recent signings have been well thought through.

I'm sure we'd all love one but I think most people are just getting the biggest worries out of the way first. Obviously we need 2 new midfielders, that's clear to everyone. Evra, Rio and Vidic are all leaving therefore they also need quality replacements. Basically we need to sign 5 players to replace/fix the obvious issues before we can even think of improving other positions.

All that's needed is 1 winger though IMO. Januzaj will continue to improve and should get more games next season, and then be starting every week the season after and becoming a key player. That leaves the other winger position where I at least still hold out a bit of hope for Nani to put his injuries aside and pick up some form again (not much hope, but there is a bit). Reus would be the dream signing obviously and would actually be well balanced playing Valencia on the other side IMO, and rotating Januzaj around. One can dream, but midfield and the defence are obviously the priorities this summer.

Did I imagine the stories that Barkley didn't like Moyes and felt he held him back or were they actually real?

I think people are going to be massively disappointed this summer, I think it's going to be a disaster.

Increasing rumours regarding Coleman, who might be a decent buy but doesn't look good for rafael.

Carvalho will go to chelsea. So will Shaw.
Well get that other Southampton youngster though reed I think his name is.

Gundongen will go to barca.

Pessimistic I know, but I was banging on about this problem last summer. This summer a number of teams will be looking for midfielders. Chelsea will need at least one (carvalho), barca definately need one and a centre back (fortunately will probably be Luiz). Psg got cabaye so that might keep them out market but my word if someone decent is available I cant see them keeping quiet.
Last year I thought this was too much competition for this summer. Without CL football? My word it could be painful!

Yeah exactly, can't see why people saying barkley. The little dig at moyes few weeks ago in the press was hardly subtle

Probably Barkley, Jagielka, Baines

)

Are you for real? Do you honestly think we have a hope of getting Barkley this summer? Everton don't need the money and will hang onto him for at elast another season or two to try and get into the champions league....and on top of that Barkley would have no desire to play under Moyes when he is already playing under a far superior manager to Moyes
