Manchester United v Aston Villa

I want to find out the studio that Waddle is in and hurt him, he is a disgrace of a commenter.

Late realisation much?
I can make it even simpler, our midfield is shit.

The difference last year was that Carrick was in top form. We had Scholsey every now and then and even Anderson to pass a ball forward. It makes so much sense now why Fergie kept him. He's one of the few in our team who wants to or at least has the balls to pass the ball forward.

From citizens advice bureau:

What the Sale of Goods Act says

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 says that any item you buy from a trader must be:

of satisfactory quality
fit for purpose
match any description given.

If it isn’t, you can usually get one of the following:

a repair
a replacement
your money back (a refund)some of your money back.

Lets ask for a repair.

Who's commentating with Owen? What a c u n t, even questioned the most clear penalty you'll ever see. He must hate us with a passion.

He wont, Moyes always drops him as a punishment for playing well.

This.

Also don't see the happiness about how we're playing. By United standards that's been an average first half.

We're playing a team that shipped 4 last week against Stoke, and we're at home. If we are a top four team in waiting this should be a routine win.

Last time we faced these at Old Trafford RVP had a hat trick before half time.

Good half.

Shinji has been great. I like how he refused to cross it haphazardly for the first goal, and turned inside instead, looked up, and spotted Rooney open, and basically passed it to his head.

We should see more of this.

I still believe Moyes can turn us around, and think the whole airplane banner thing is ridiculous, but I'd be getting a pilot license if Moyes sells him in the summer.

I agree, but also believe our midfield is not going forward because we sometimes have to sit too deep due to lack of pace in our defense, especially when Rio plays. In general, our midfield is also too slow both physically and mentally.

So, what are United like? Missing the game, but I imagine shite.

Rafael liability. Buttner average. Fletcher way over the top. Fellaini clueless. Kagawa and Mata providing glimpses of brilliance. Rooney clinical.

Young ... don't get me started.

Not the worst of a half I suppose. I was hoping they'd have came out of the blocks with a lot more passion and fight etc but it took a good 15 or 20 minutes for them to wake up a bit and even when they did it didn't last long, pinned Villa back for around 10 minutes and then the foot was taken off the gas again fairly snappy.

Kagawa, Mata and Rooney look very dangerous when on the attack. Young has been nothing more than a waste of space so far. Rafael and Buttner both on yellows are a worry heading into the 2nd half too.

Kagawa set to miss the Bayern game. Moyes wont stand being proven wrong.

Nah, I can see the front six being something like:

Rooney

Welbeck Kagawa Valencia

Carrick Giggs

Kagawa and Mata are the only one performing so far

it's sad isn't it! And we are playing Villa FFS, and we were like "trying" to play well. Gone are the days when winning t home was taken for granted
Let me give you all a tactical masterclass.

  • Villa press high with quick players
  • Our midfielders are short on confidence and not so quick. Fletch has been alright, but he's not exactly lightning. Fellaini hasn't been much and Young has never looked worse.
  • Hence we can't get forward as our midfielders can't make decisive passes forward other than HOOF!

End of masterclass.
When Moyes keep using Fellani and Young, Man United is just an average team looking to play better.

Mata, Kagawa and Rooney look good when they link up in the fast transition. Trouble is we are not getting those quick transitions enough. Fellaini and Fletcher are not offering up in the centre enough, and I saw Fletch point for passes to be played out to the flanks twice from Vidic. The play is being held up in the sides and we are allowing Villa to slow everything down and keep their shape.
We need to use the whole pitch to try and move quickly from back to front, and expose Villa, who havea few guys who we can expose with pace at the back, and who get out of position.
I would take off Fellaini and put Giggs on if we want to put this Villa team to the sword in the second half. Also the right side is a dead zone, with Young running down blind alleys, bring on Danny Welbeck to get more out of the right side.

David James saying on BT, that we're "fortuitously" ahead. Well, nothing fortuitous about Mata 'Cruyff turning' that average Bacuna.
