i hope we win 2-0 and go through on away goals.

If we are going out of the Champions League then we better go out in a blaze of glory

I hope we win.

Guardiola said regarding our game "Manchester is a final. It's a matter of life and death."

Of course it is Pep, our Chestaini will elbow all your players to death!

With Muller ahead of them and Mandzukic as CF? Naah, cant see Pep not playing 3 midfielders. And yeah, Lahm's not originally a CM but its Pep that identified that he could play there and he's excelled.

Müller is playing in the hanging striker position and not on the wings since mid of February again. Even if Robben does not play or goes out of the match. Whereas Götze was seldom played in a central position recently. I think Guardiola mainly did that as a lookout for the end of the season. Maybe you should look on his goals and assists in the CL - he usually scores the more important goals and let's the others score against the small opponents. So if he gets the chances he will do - his role last Tuesday just did not fit him and the situation.

If Guardiola thinks that you park the bus again to play Müller as hanging striker or even as an 8 is more probable than Götze, especially if not Schweinsteiger but Kroos is playing CM. If Schweinsteiger could play - and he is more box-to-box than Kroos, with a bigger defensive sense and even able to score with headers - it might be different.

Müller is more defensive minded and it is a question for set-pieces, too. Last year we played with Dante, Boateng, Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Müller and Mandzukic. That is down to Dante, Boateng and Mandzukic if Müller would not play...

And the advantage Mandzu brings are his heading abilities - but they will be wasted if he is the only striker in the box fighting Vidic and co. So if you want to play this card you have to atleast add a parttime second striker.

But it could be that he plays totally Pep - than you will see a 4-2-4 without Mandzukic. If you see how he rested players this weekend it looks more like this.

0-1 with us scoring the goal in first ten minutes and then defending for our lives.

I also feel that if we lose this, then Moyes is a goner.

Sacked immediately or at the end of the season?

Nah, Moyes has afforded himself some serious breathing space since the plane debacle. He won't be going anywhere should we be knocked out, and I expect we will.

At the end of the season.

The only thing that has saved him is our decent run in CL, if we go out to Bayern than he'll be relieved of his duties. I'm very sure of that.

I know he's played there but I thought it'd be Gotze there instead of him to get better control of the game. But yeah, what you say could happen as easily. Interesting to say.

If am honest, I'd rather see Gotze play than Muller, Muller is a really clever player specially if he has someone like Mandzukic playing in front of him. He'l hurt us.

I can't wait for this  For some reason, I actually think we stand a chance.

Bring on Wednesday.

No chance he will be sacked if we get knocked out, not when we're expected to get knocked out. If we lost to Olympiakos I think he would have been sacked but not a chance now. Especially as we're starting to look decent in the league. I think the Bayern 1st leg has given him breathing space and he will be here next season in my opinion.

Me too. Before last Tuesday I had barely any hope but considering that we didn't get trashed like I first feared and considering Bayern's record at home against English teams we might actually stand a chance of a lucky win over there or getting into penalties and winning it this way.

Of course chances are that Bayern will find back to their best form by Wednesday and still give us a beating but I feel at least we have a chance progressing.

considering that away goals count double that will make the aggregate score 5-2 in our favour.

ah, i forgot that the away goals counted double. beating them 10-4 would be immense.

He's also the same referee who gifted Barcelona a penalty for a foul outside the box against City.

Only one of the away goals counts as double, not all of them.

Edit: unless I've missed an earlier joke.

I hope Fletcher plays....but Moyes is hinting at Fellani starting again.
Fellaini is absolutely nailed on to start. We'll set up in the same fashion as the first leg, Fellaini is the target man. Also, Moyes thought he played well last Tuesday.

Every European match has me more fearful of the referees as the opponent--Bayern or not. It's such a wildcard. They are willing to make a game changing decision on what they think they've seen.
