The reason Kagawa became so popular to begin with, is because football fans, regardless of which team they support, felt that Kagawa either was being used wrongly, or not used enough. For whatever reason, his failure to make as much of an impact for United as he did for Dortmund, is never blamed on Kagawa himself. Evil Kagawa takes this attitude(which frankly is shared by the vast majority of football fans), and then takes it a step further. Because he's an anonymous person hidden behind a popular twitter account, he's able to get away with being extremely rude and politically incorrect.
He says the things that people want to say, but don't dare to. Obviously he exaggerates a lot, but that's part of the humor. The account can be self ironic at times too! When Januzaj won us that game last year, Evil Kagawa's reaction "from the bench" was hilarious.
Evil Kagawa's popularity is especially annoying to T0p Reds and Kagawa critics, because it's a constant reminder o f how "wrong" they are. I don't think there's ever going to be a fake twitter account of a football player that will reach more fame. That is because Kagawa is a brilliant player, and "everyone" knows it. So much in fact, that the majority are willing to blame Moyes/United/his teammates, rather than Kagawa himself. And that, is simply amazing.

I definitely agree on this. Most of his tweets are barely worhty of a chuckle. Most of the tweets are the same thing all over again. He's even started to post old tweets, in hope that people don't remember them.
But when he hits, he really hits bullseye.
I find the EvilKagawa twitter page hilarious to be fair. But my sense of humour can be a tad bit 'simple'.

Never once even raised even a hint of a smile from me. It's dreadful. As funny as AIDS.
Twitter parodies are almost invariably dire anyway. The only football parody account worth reading is Big Sam and even that is best in small doses.
I take the whole of Twitter in small doses to be fair. Almost imperceptibly small.

He/she makes the occasional dig at himself and hardcore Kagawa fans, but that's definitely not his/her main purpose. He spends way to much time digging up stats, videos and photos to prove how we're either using Kagawa wrong or not enough.
Judging by that account, the person on behind it:
1) Hates Moyes
2) Hates the football we've played this season
3) Thinks that Kagawa is not being utilized properly/enough.
These are all popular opinions, and thus the account has remained popular.
It's popular because people like cheap jokes. Has the account not being going on since he signed for Utd? I doubt the intention was to show how under used he may or may not be.

That Big Sam one is the only parody one that makes me laugh, just because I always read it in his voice and in a strange way it seems possible he'd say it!
Another one of the few twitter accounts is Images of Brendan (https://twitter.com/ImagesofBrendan) it was funnier at the start when I'm pretty convinced they used actual Rodgers quotes, now I think a few people have started taking the piss and it's just got bizarre, the pictures to quotes bit still makes me laugh though at times.
Yeah, there's definitely some truth to this. His cheap shots on Cleverley etc are really popular.
I'm not sure when the account started, but its popularity exploded a couple of weeks after Moyes took over and #FreeShinji was trending more than ever. It's impossible to say what the person behind the twitter account had in mind when he/she made it, but he/she is definitely trying to adapt to what the readers like. That's why he/she is posting the same posts over and over again, with just a slightly different wording. It's all about the attention at this point.

I find it hilarious. Surely everybody knows that it is not about the bad english, right? It just tries to imagine what Kagawa might be thinking sitting on the bench and puts it in broken English so that it imitates the way Kagawa speaks as well. A bit of frustration about Kagawa not playing is channeled as humor. Not all humor should be intelligent. Some of it can be irreverent. Sometimes brainless is good for you.

I don't even find Evil Kagawa to be that funny. I just think it's interesting to further examine why it's so popular. Surely it can't all go down to the fact that he/she is "pretending" to be Kagawa? There is something that makes people come back. Personally, I believe it's because football fans of all clubs shares the opinion that United has been crap under Moyes, and that Kagawa should have featured a lot more. And then there's also a lot of mean-spirited cheap shots on players like Cleverley. People love this sort of mean humor.
I do think it's about the broken English. If you did it for a different, English player, written in good English, would it be funny?
I think the broken English is the cherry on top. It gives the impression of a sad and confused foreigner who fails to understand Moyes decisions(like the rest of us).
