Webb helped us in that counter, he got in the way of they guy Young beat to the ball. Good guy that Webb

Nani should have pulled the trigger when he had the ball.

Young is playing great.

Infact, he's usually quite good when used on the right...

Don't mind a bit of greediness here or there...I think we're too passive at times so I was glad to see Nani try to take the initiative.

Good counter. Nothing special so far but we're controlling the game and getting the ball into good positions and putting in dangerous crosses, and they haven't had a sniff going forward.

This is so refreshing to see after the season of shite we'd been presented with. Its nothing spectacular, but thankfully enjoyable. :)

A guide to Ashley Young:
  • Hit your first man with the cross like Valencia
  • Overhit the cross
  • Try to beat the opposition fullback and fail
  • Shit first touch and proceed to lose the ball as a result
  • Mess up a basic pass that a non league player wouldn't

So far been proved wrong with everything! Maybe I'll do this more often

He's a decent player - links well with the full back, good eye for a through ball, works hard and a danger cutting in from the flank. His movement is usually pretty intelligent too. He's not an exciting player to watch though, and the theatrics are irritating.
Wow what planet are you from! Young's cross was seldom intellengent, average at best... And he should stop taking corner

Why wasn't Young playing like this for the last...2 years?

You defiinitly see Carrick is instructed to go forward, even in the game vs Norwich.

Carrick has put in more dangerous crosses in 24 minutes today than Antonio Valencia in the last 2 seasons.

Why is everything saying "where has this come from" about Young? It's only around January that he put in some really good performances for us on the right side.

Even though hes gone and we should move on i find myself thinking where we might be in the table had he been sacked in Feb

I'm concerned that my iPhone does an autocorrect for shambolic with shambuc, which has no meaning in English that I'm aware of. I learned the other day that the official Scrabble dictionary includes bogus words.

In any event, the case for Moyesey's ineptitude was abundantly clear by February, but I'm sure the CL clause had everything to do with the timing of his sacking. Better late than never, but for me it came too late.
