It's not his job to score? Practically any other centre midfielder on earth would've shot there. Pirlo, Alonso and all other deep lying playmakers seem happy to get forward and shoot. Carrick is scared.
It isn't, why the hell is he always the deepest midfielder, because he's the playmaker and meant to protect the back four. He's not lampard.

I've always liked him. Been on loan twice this season. First at Carlisle where he scored a couple of spectacular goals, one after a mazy Giggs-esque run cutting in off the left, and then Yeovil in the second half of the season. He's full of promise. Good turn of pace and clever with his one touch play around the box. He might be more of a central player but I think he'll get most of his minutes for us on the left.

Thanks for the info.

If you play in midfield for Man Utd you are expected to score goals. He'd be the first United centre midfielder ever to be told don't contribute to the attack if your point stood. Even Robbo and Scholes in their twilight were found getting forward and scoring. If it's on Carrick should be shooting.

We just need Lawrence to get a goal now and it will be a pretty good night.

James Wilson has now scored for Manchester United's U18, U19, U21 and senior teams in the same season.

Büttner isn't doing himself any favours. Simply showing he isn't up to playing for us. Get Shaw, keep Evra and flog Büttner to the highest bidder.

Fellaini and Valencia are so inept technically compared to Lawrence and Wilson.
