James Wilson is the fourth youngest player to score a Premier League goal for Manchester United (18y 5m 5d)

I hope Hull are better than this vs Arsenal in the cup final!

With no worries for either team, waqs hoping we'd see some attacking football but they're content with putting 10 behind the ball and seeing it out.

Kagawa has been absolute dog shit though.
He's sitting deep, even deeper than Carrick. Not exactly favouring him is it?

Jones is actually pretty unlucky there, Figueroa just flies at him with his elbow out.

Bruce giving us a sympathy win, Hull will play much better in the FA Cup no doubt.

HT. Fellaini is awful. Buttner is awful.

Wilson looks like he might be a player though.

Every time I see Smalling surge forward and then have to roll the ball out to Valencia on the right or Carrick right next to him, a small part of me dies inside.
A bit unfair I thing Fallaini has not been that bad, assist for the goal and done a few good things.

Am all for Buttner getting a chance but, my goodness he is having a 'mare. Several chances to either put in a cross early or even just a quick pass but, he doesn't see them. And his passing is off.

Also, wish we'd freaking find some balance in terms of keeping the ball but, also getting the ball into the box - several chances to get the ball in but, we are dallying.

Noticed Kagawa seems to be covering a lot of ground and asking for the ball but, we seem to bypass him quite a lot.

Totally disappointed in Steve Bruce. His team have nothing to play for and they come here to stink out the joint. Jesus Christ, just let your players off the leash. They haven't even had a single shot on goal. It is a disgrace that any coach would set up like that in a situation like this.

Am i the only one that quite enjoyed that half? Maybe its just cos Ashley Young isn't playing

Definitely just you. This game has gotten steadily worse as a spectacle. The silver lining has been Wilson's goal.

Just like we didn't during the corner ?

This fecking Fellaini shittalk all the time, annoying. Got his assist, what more do you want from #10 ? We'd be wanking if Kagawa or Mata got an assist. Meanwhile, Kagawa in CM can't pass properly most of the time. Does this skill go away when moved out of the position ?

What do set pieces have to do with anything when talking about Fellaini's position?

So many times he's been in the box and we haven't put the ball in. I may not like it but if we are going to use him as a number 10 then launch balls at him. If we are trying to play it on the floor then it would make sense to have a number 10 more suited to doing that playing there.

Its daft that for once we are trying NOT to just play in dozens and dozens of crosses from wide, and then we decide to play Fellaini in a more advanced role.

I am assuming this to be the case as I caught a glimpse while scouring the internet for streams to report, unfortunately I dawdled on one slightly too long and noticed the above, before quickly getting away and noting the URL to send to the internet police.

This half sums up Fellaini. Useless at DM, not enough mobility for box to box BUT useful in the air. Probably good player for the last 10, 15 minutes when we just kick it inside the box.
Although to be fair, it's a little scary that Carrick is the starter in this form.

I enjoyed it too.

Did Robbie Earle just ask the female host 'its like when you remember your first girlfriend'? Haha.

When you think even Robbie Mustoe says it's weird to play Fellaini as a 10 and Kagawa in CM, that says a lot. Who's doing the tactical counseling in there?

I suppose they are all terrified of being injured and not being in the reckoning for what is probably Hull's biggest game ever.

Christ, all this 'back challenging for the title next season' stuff looks well wide of the mark. On this display hanging on to 7th is the challenge.

Back challenging is reliant on a) a proper manager in charge and b) a host of player additions. Neither of which are on display tonight.

All Steve Bruce wants is no injuries. They've got a lot to play for very soon, and going gung ho and steaming into tackles is the last thing on the mind of their players.

I thought he was lucky not to get blown up for the assist. Looked to me like he had hold of the defender's shirt but the camera angle isn't great.
A big guy who isn't very good in the air. Similiar to Crouch, has to foul players to win the ball.

That would be Fergie most likely. I haven't see a shot of him in the stands tonight so maybe that's him wearing a Ryan Giggs mask.
