RAWK Goes Into Meltdown | 2013/14

I don't understand it either because just about everybody knows mistakes were made that day and everybody knows the police make errors all the time, it's only natural when it's run by human beings. There were mistakes on that day that led to a tragic incident but that wasn't the only one, there were many before and many after, there will be many more.

I just feel time and energy would be better spent trying to reduce the future policing errors and their consequences as opposed to all this focus on the justice for 96 individuals who make up a great, great minority of those who've experienced disastrous consequences because of police failings.

I'm not quite sure what they actually want to achieve, probably all this time and money just for an apology from somebody who has a fancy title but isn't really all that important to life.

Are we seriously going here? Anyone who's ever stood on a football terrace could have nothing but empathy for those who lost their lives that day, not to mention those who carry the trauma of having witnessed it. The sickening way the British establishment thought they could blame this on those nasty working class northerners with impunity has stuck in my throat for decades, and I am no lover of Liverpool Football Club or its more ludicrous fans. This is common human decency shit.

To use the word 'justice' is something which has always worried me.
Justice is the appropriate word, now that it has been admitted that the supporters were not to blame those who caused the disaster and those who covered it up should be found and held accountable, surely that is a perfect definition of justice?

I fear that there is no real individual body that caused this incident and that a wide variety of factors contributed to it, including ones which some wouldn't want to accept. The truth will never be revealed - it's too long ago and no-one knows. That isn't conducive to justice.

I see your point, cannt blame them for wanting it regardless though

This I agree with, to some extent. There clearly was an entirely indefensible cover up carried out by members of the then government though and police though. As always there will be people who were privy to and aided this cover up and there will be chains of command which the cover up trickled down. The word "justice" might literally be a dangerous word to use, but we all know exactly what they mean by it and it's an entirely reasonable demand.

I personally think you're trying to stir, you can't be that ignorant that you can't read up on what was a defining moment in the security of British stadia
The information I had available from a quick Google search states that the Hillsborough disaster was "an unfortunate incident" and while police incompetence has been mentioned, the topic itself is only glanced over and there's no mention of any deliberate actions by the authorities.

I've found asking people a far more reliable source of information than media, especially concerning a subject that happened years ago.

Can someone take a copy of that video and then just put a clip at the end of Man City lifting the trophy?

I'm amazed that for a team that hasn't won the title for so long are celebrating the league before it's mathematically theirs. I don't recall other teams doing that before winning the PL. Maybe I'm missing something?

Im so glad these goons didnt win, work would have been unbearable. You can simply not have a simple football discussion with them if it involves Liverpool, they jump to the defence for even the simplest of things.

I was playing football with my mates earlier and 4 of them are Liverpool fans, at half time they started talking tactics (which they know little about) and they all started saying "We go again". I had to tell the clowns to shut up. What is wrong with these people?

I'm sure that you're equivalent of Guardiola!

I'm sure that you're equivalent of Guardiola!

Why do you do it to yourself? You dont even know them, or me for that matter yet you have to defend them because they are Liverpool fans? Please, that stupid phrase or whatever you want to call it should tell you enough about their tactical nouse. Besides why do you Liverpool fans feel the need to come into the RAWK thread to defend every little thing said about you lot? Actually is pretty much what you lot do all over the forums tbf.

What is wrong with you? It's cringey as hell to be saying stuff like that. Unless, of course, you're about 10, and still "bagsy Ronaldo" at the start of a game.

 That was exactly my reaction, 'he's gone and defended this lot now as well..' But I agree with the overall sentiment that these whoppers winning the league would have been awful. Could you imagine having to hear that this single arsey league win was better than an entire Ferguson dynasty. Would have been madness.

Last weekend my girlfriend and I played mini putt. On the 17th tee and nursing a one-stroke lead I said, "This does not fecking slip now!" I then bogeyed eighteen and lost on the second playoff hole.

My name's Steve, by the way.

Do you people not understand what this thread is for? Stop talking about general Liverpool stuff. The last few pages have been completely off topic.

Insert your name here:
Incidentally, people who are moaning about this thread going OT: You're right, of course, but if you want to get it back on topic, you have to go and find something funny on RAWK and post it here. Hard to stay on topic when there's no topic. That means you INSERT NAME HERE.

It's clear as day that nearing a title for the first time in more than two decades, slipping up with three matches to play is catastrophic. Only the ones in denial will claim otherwise.

Please tell me that's true.

Well there's where you went wrong to begin with.

Is this the team bus for next season?

There are two so they can go again.
