What Now For Moyes?

Since he has left:
Liverpool have lost the league in hilarious fashion
We have got in LVG as manager
We have signed Shaw and Herrera
Suarez has been banned for four months.

He just took over after SAF on my FM gamesave and lost 3-0 to Arsenal in his first game. I actually think we can win the CL this season if this goes on

Apparently Galatasaray and Moyes have had an "exchange of ideas" according to Jim White. Shortest conversation in football recruitment history.
Turkish bloke 'So what will you bring to the table Mr Moyes?'
Moyes - 'Well Laddy, we'll need wingers that know how to cross so that we kin get it crossed into Fellaini 100 times every game and we'll make it hard for them at the same time. Fellaini is bound to bury at least one of the 100 crosses.'
Turkish bloke thanks Moyes for coming before thinking to himself 'Well if the other 11 turn us down then Mr Moyesie it will have to be'

You forgot: well, I'll try to bring success. We hope to do well.

He couldn't go to Turkey anyway, he's ginger for christ sake.

hello /sp/

Why does he need a bag man?

I've got some bad news for you...

exchange of ideas indeed. What a crock of pony.

He's trying to slip back into the champions league the easy way, with a big team already qualified in a footballing backwater.

He'll spend the whole summer chasing Toni Kroos once in the Galatasary hot-seat only to land Emile Heskey and Titus Bramble instead in a last minute transfer deadline day dash panic

Galatasaray won't go near him, not a chance, he will end up in the dutch league at a similar club to what Steve Mcclaren took on, and if he does a job half as good as he did he will be doing well.

Just so pleased he isn't our problem anymore.

Well this is a bit bizarre.

On the plus side he can actually win a top division title and get some champions league experience, but again its Galatasaray. I fear for his life if he says something stupid like "Fenerbahce are favourites" during a home derby or "we'll try to get something" against Ankaraspor or something.

If they wouldn't go near him why would they have a meeting?

My guess is that they just thought that if United took him on then he must have something, but after the exchanging of opinions maybe they saw sense.

They've certainly made it clear he isn't anything like first choice.

They probably don't realise just how bad he's going to be for them. I'd imagine they're still in that deluded 'people know what they're doing, he might end up alright' honeymoon stage.

Still, at least we might be able to offload Fellaini to them now. Moyes owes us big time, it's the least he could do.

I think they do. We didn't and realized as the season progressed. The whole world saw and would be extremely skeptical to appoint him if their club has winning aspirations and work under immense pressure. He is not even their first choice. Imagine after seeing all thats happened to a club who went from being champions to seventh and then realizing the possibility of him being the manager of your club.

Also if he goes he takes Young with him instead of Fellaini.

Hope he does well out there and prove the armchair managers wrong.

Has he taken credit for the Herrera and Shaw signing yet?

So he tried to get a job and instead two others who are already employed are favorites. Seems par the course for him.

"Me and Phil Neville worked tirelessly to get those deals done. I just hope the 'real' Man Utd supporters (you know, the idiots who clapped me onto the pitch when I was failing miserably) see what we were trying to do."

Agree, especially those who thought that all he needed to morph into SAF was time, Gala will put us to shame I tell ya! They will hive him all the time he needs to build the most beautiful project the world has ever seen. If he needed six years to return United to the top how long do you reckon he will need at Gala who aren't Champions ? Eight, ten years ?

why are you having a go at Phil Neville? He s a real red and always gave his 100% to the club.

To be fair, it doesn't take a football expert to work out that Moyes was pretty shit last season. Even my mum said that he looked out of his depth and she doesn't even like football.

Moyes is a decent manager who is more suited to managing smaller clubs IMO. Manchester United was far too big a step-up for him and it was naive of Sir Alex to think otherwise.

I think he will have to sit out this season and perhaps be called in earliest at christmas if any manager gets sacked, but it's probably more likely he will sit out this season.

He's of the same mindset as last year, join the dominant force of a domestic league and sit back while it runs itself and the trophies roll in. I suspect he suffers from a chronic mental condition so adrift from reality is he. Turkey ffs??? Stick to what you know lad the grass isn't always greener as you've found out. Get your head down and do some coaching at West Brom with your old buddy Alan Irvine till something sensible comes up preferably English speaking. Someone in his family needs to give his head a wobble.

Probably he is tired of coaching midtable clubs and still has belief in himself that he is better that what he has shown in United. Nothing wrong in having big ambitions.

Saying that, I don't think that he'll be succesful at Galatasaray. The pressure will be very big (probably even bigger than in United) and fans won't applaude him for every defeat he concedes. If there is a bad string of results, then things will be very ugly.
