Has Mourinho and Van Gaal ever gone up against each other?

Angel Di Maria.. Lets hope jojojo can correctly predict the future!!I see what you did there. Can't recall this 'Angel' one, though.

Definitely better than Wenger but not better than the other three. Still, I think that he was the most suitable manager for United. We need a revolution and there is no other better manager for it than Van Gaal.So how do people rate LVG these days? Is he a better manager than Guardiola/Mourinho/Wenger/Ancelotti? Would you have preferred another manager taking over United?

he said to dutch media that he had krul in mind with the way the game was going, hence why he didn use up all his subs. it was fine margins too because they subbed him on in the final seconds of extra timeIt might have made a difference, suppose we'll never know. Could just as easily have been Louis playing it safe keeping a substitution back in case of injury in extra time then deciding Krul is a bit bigger at the last minute.
Is anyone else worried that the further Holland go in this World Cup the more it's going to impact United's start to the season? I can feel a slow start coming on....
Im sure he believed in Krul's penalty-stopping abilities but Im sure the move was principally a psychological one - the Costa Rica team wont have known what was going on or exactly what Krul's record was and it was more important that they feared he was a penalty specialist than that he actually was one. Can't believe he changed keepers just because Krul is 2 inches taller!
You would have thought it was at least because he'd done extra research into Costa Rica's penalty takers. Krul did go the right way every time though, so perhaps he did.
Regardless, you can't question the size of LVG's cojones. Swapping keepers in the 120th minute like that, he doesn't think twice about a controversial big decision.
Scored the first Peno and had a chance cleared off the line?
He wasn't his best by a stretch, pretty poor game - but there were no defensive subs whatsoever, whom was he to replace him with, you gonk?

Guess you live and learn, I had no idea how all this works.
Anyone knows who is our assistant coach?
Except Van Gaal gets involed into the training more than Fergie. So essentially Meulensteen Mk. II?
Not sure about that, I think Meulensteen had a more free role, training/tactics etc..So essentially Meulensteen Mk. II?
It seems we're playing always our pre-season match at Old Trafford against a spanish club.......2x FC Sevilla and Valencia a couple of years agoApparently LvG wants a 'big' pre-season game at Old Trafford so we're due to play Valencia on the 12th of August.

How do we think a 3-4-3 would work for us? I'd imagine something like this.
DDG
Smalling (Hummels) Vermaelan Jones
Valencia(Janmaat)(Kuyt) Shaw
Herrera Carrick (Vidal) (Carvalho)
Mata
Rooney
Rvp
I think it could work but I'd hope we can make the new signings happen as I don't think the first xi above is enough to compete at the top of the league.
Didnt we play Valencia last year at home and they battered us 3-1 or something?
Didn't Mourinho work for him as an assistant manager at Barcelona? While Guardiola was captain? One could argue part of their success and possible training is thanks to him.So how do people rate LVG these days? Is he a better manager than Guardiola/Mourinho/Wenger/Ancelotti? Would you have preferred another manager taking over United?
Ah yes, right you are, hmmm we should play Athletico or someone like that, Sevilla are a good side but not a stern test. Although I didnt see us getting battered by Sevilla to be fair, it was a sobering experience. Wasnt it Rios testimonial. You are thinking of Sevilla.
Cleverley scored last time we played Valencia at home iirc.

Yeah what an embarassment, bloody testimonial and Rio looks a fool by Moyes haha. Yes im blaming it on Moyes. Sorry yes Valencia are the Europa League champions so it should be a test but I think as part of the Vidal deal a friendly would be pretty cool to see. Or Ajax perhaps with the dutch connection. We aren't playing Sevilla. Aye, was Rio's testimonial where we lost 3-1.
It's german but it's fantastic and funny........i can't wait
