Still there are crazies who call themselves 'feminists'. Rebranding the movement from 'feminism' to 'equalitism' is only fair, if at the current point of time that name represents the goals of the movement better.
Well perhaps 'Men' should be rebranded, just so we don't associate ourselves with those murdering, war-mongering, raping crazies.
'Criminals', 'Psychopaths', etc. are perfectly good words. And by the way murdering, war-mongering and raping is not confined only to men.

I think that the "rape hysteria" has gone too far, but that right there is just beyond disgusting. No compassion whatsoever.

Tumblr feminists(etc) want us to believe that we live in a "rape culture", where pretty much any man is a potential rapist. Rape gets too much attention, in my opinion. Are we just gonna ignore the fact that much more men get killed, robbed, or beaten up? Or that much more men struggle with depression, alcoholism and drug problems? Or that much more men than women commit suicide?
Rape is arguably the only negative statistic(that I can think of) that women top. Rape is obviously horrible, but we need to take a chillpill and look at all problems in society. Not just rape.
Can't these cnuts be tracked and prosecuted, at least the ones in US soil? Damage compensation and a really long internet ban would suit them, and that's to say the least. If they do it to hackers why not these bastards? It's more vile and potentially more dangerous.
What crime have they committed?
Bullying? I don't know. Shouldn't be hard to find something, let alone in the US. She was damaged by these pricks, when someone is damaged there is usually some law that applies and provides compensation. If there isn't yet, there will be one soon, because these things will continue to happen.
Definitely the person who leaked the photos could be prosecuted. Don't know about the rest of the idiots.
I ask you, genuine question, when those birds last halloween dressed up as the twin towers blowing up for halloween, did you want them prosecuted?

We don't need to "take a chill pill". We need to seriously examine why such a problem exists and is so widespread, and furthermore, why so many people refuse to take it seriously. The point about "taking a look at all problems in society" is so blatantly ridiculous I hope I don't have to address that.

This is true. If you made a joke telling someone to top them self or something along those lines, i very much doubt it would spawn a 17 page thread on the topic. But maybe i wrong.
That's because everyone would agree that it was not kosher. With rape, people (almost invariably men) love to insist that they should be able to joke about it and constantly question why it should be taken so seriously.

Wouldn't you say the definition of cyber-bullying that I posted above fits like a glove on what happened? Or the fact that these people aren't directly connected to the victim and never addressed her directly would prevent it from applying?
I dont see men not taking rape seriously, in this thread at least. A few have made it quite clear, theres a difference between rape the word, and rape the action, obviously.

And men getting killed more often, robbed or beaten up is a consequence of their behavior. I'm sure that if you're a gigantic pussy that never walks alone in the street at night and runs away from any situation where confrontation is remotely possibly you'd be as "safe" as the average woman.

- Employment discrimination? I have never seen any statistics that can prove this, but then again I live in one of the most egalitarian countries in the world.
- Domestic abuse is fairly even, 60/40 in "favor" of women. The problem with domestic abuse, is that it focuses too much on physical violence. Psychological and verbal terror is equally bad imo(if not worse).
- Wage gap? I could go on for hours about why this is complete bullshit, but I don't have the time now.
Fair enough, more women gets sexually harrassed than men.

Call me crazy, but it would be nice to see a few advertisements or posters trying to help men as well. Will there ever be a commercial where a man looks into the camera and says: "Listen, just because I'm a man it doesn't mean that I'm strong enough to handle being robbed or beaten up. The scars you leave aren't always visible. I'm just a human being. Would you beat up a child or a woman? No? Then would would you beat up me?"
You see where I'm going here? Individual problems are more important than gender problems. The moment we start to focus on gender rather than individual, we quickly notice that there's two sides with two different stories.

Well threats and immediate incitement of violence too. Like, saying "let's secede from the union and get a bunch of weapons in case they try to stop us" is different from standing on main street and getting a mob to beat up the mayor.

Simply asking what you were wearing does NOT equal telling a rape victim, the clothes your wearing was asking for it. But thats a different thread entirely.
