---BREAKING---

I've heard Juve have been willing to compromise with Anderson and it looks like we're now getting Zabaglione coming the other way.

The only remaining complication is now the fact that Flintoff does not strictly speaking have a contract with United, but this is thought to be resolvable.

If (when) we do sign him, I think it is likely to be announced that Evra is joining them for X amount followed by the transfer of Vidal a few days later for X Amount.

Why would we wait a few days between announcements if the deal is in place? When Ibrahimovic was moved to Barcelona in exchange of Eto'o + money to Inter, it was announced straight away so neither club would look too bad at first sight.

If we are going to start dealing with athletes from other sports I wouldnt mind us putting in a cheeky bid for Lewis Hamilton. For one thing it would be good to get more opportunities to see Nicole Scherzinger. Plus I think he would sell a lot of shirts and would ensure we keep a British nucleus to the squad.

Did you actually read my post?

I did. Still, I don't believe anything will work out well unless the full swap agreement is there. IMO, it is out of the question that we send Evra to Juventus unless we have something concrete from the other side. If we send Evra but end up getting feck all (i.e. no Vidal), how foolish do you think United would look after that? No goodwill will make up for anything if Juventus feck us and then Vidal is not sold to us.

Do we really need this unfunny shite clogging up the thread?

Does Vidal saying "anyone would want to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world" count as something happening? At this stage I honestly dont know anymore.
Well considering people were convinced hed sooner chop off his own leg than leave Juve its a huge boost.

Costa isn't terrifying. I see flop written all over him.
I'm wondering how much you've seen of him, then.

And anyway, I didn't say he was terrifying in terms of talent, I said the fact that they now have an actual good striker for the first time since Drogba started declining is terrifying.

I've watched him enough. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him flop. He's not all that great. You didn't say that was terrifying at all. That might have been what you were thinking when you wrote "Chelsea are terrifying" but it wasn't what you said.

I see goals written all over him. I don't think he'll flop at all but that's just my opinion. He'll get a few red cards though, he's the new Suarez in the league.
I don't. He's had one season of scoring goals. One season where the set-up suited him and the whole team played as more than the sum of their parts. Before that his record was average at best. I'd be wary buying anyone from Athletico Madrid and expecting them to be as good as they were last season.

We'll see who's right in a month or so! Anyway, this is offtopic!

I didn't say Costa was terrifying, did I? Or am I missing something? I said Chelsea have a terrifying looking team now, all I did then was elaborate on that when you, wrongly, claimed I called Costa terrifying.

Keep going though.

What's the "keep going" all about? Are you that pathetic that your opinion can't be disagreed with without you turning arsey?

You said Chelsea have a terrifying team, then mentioned three players that presumably you feel make them more terrifying than they previously were (which wasn't particularly terrifying). I don't find Costa terrifying, and have said why.

Hope that's ok with you.

Look, I didn't say Costa was terrifying, that's all. It's not that you're disagreeing with my opinion, it's that you're claiming I said something I clearly didn't, and continuing to go at it.

He makes them a better team, and between him and the other two they now look at extremely strong team next season, probably too strong for everyone else in the league. Hope I'm wrong though. And I don't think he'll flop, probably won't score as many goals as he did for Atletico but he'll still be a good player for them. If you think otherwise, fine, I don't really see the point in continuing a conversation based on things that weren't said.

Right. Well I don't think Costa makes Chelsea more terrifying than they were. I'm not bothered about him at all. So we'll agree to disagree on how terrifying Chelsea now are.

I'm that convinced this could be happening iv'e took the liberty of watching his Youtube videos. The guy is a tackling machine. The difference he would make with us would be astonishing.

Odds mean sod all though to be fair.

If they had a tip that United had all but signed him, they'd keep the odds pretty much the same and do a massive drop on the odds of him signing for Madrid to drum up some interest and grab some cash of some unsuspecting idiots.

I am trying not to allow myself get too excited but I really want this to happen.

This same discussion happens every single transfer window. Bookies odds are irrelevant and really shouldn't be posted in threads like this.

Of course, if every irrelevant post was deleted the thread would be less than 10 pages long...

I refuse to believe anything anyone that looks like this says:

He looks like Lana Del Rey if she was a Team America Puppet.

My niece speaks Spanish and has been living in Santiago, Chile for the past 12 months teaching English. She said that it wasn't quite like that it was more "play against the biggest clubs in the world" (i.e. in the Premier League) rather than "play for...". Actually he said literally "Play with...." but that doesn't quite sound right in English.

I appreciate that it amounts to much the same, but subtle difference
