Arturo Vidal

I think Vidal pips them all, a more technical Keano.

Aye, certainly has that Keano fire. He reminds me more of Vieira than Keane though, the balance between offensive/defensive is a tad more like Vieira and I don't think he's as tactically astute or disciplined as Keane was.

MUTV are really ramping up the Casillero del Diablo advertising this summer. Two new ads out for it this year, one an absolute epic.

Chilean wine sponsorship getting a major overhaul and being pushed hard, Chilean player linked hard with a move?

It's on!

Please please make this happen. I'll promise not to be a cnut for one whole week.

This signing would be too good, I hope to feck it happens. But most importantly, I can't wait to see certain kopites at work, who have advised me that no top player will sign for Man Utd now we don't have CL football.

Jebus, did they really get that many bets on it at 1/6?

People who cite odds as proof something is happening are idiots. Bookies merely shift prices depending on where the money is going. Rumours of Vidal going to United = people betting on it = bookies shortening the price. It doesn't mean they're saying it's getting more likely to happen, they're simply covering their liability, just in case it does happen.

Not really. Yaya is an attacking midfielder and Vidal is B2B. Vidal is close to modric but as someone mentioned earlier with some differences.

Yaya is deployed mostly as an attacking midfielder currently, but he definitely has a decent all-round game, and is certainly capable of a box to box role. He's very good off the ball when he's not pottering about the pitch in a disinterested manner, which has happened more and more in the last 2 seasons. There was certainly a spell in the season when they first won the league (and the season before that) where he would play the box to box role, and then move further up the pitch later in the game if City needed a goal. Last season, he didn't seem too interested in defending though.

Anyone else think Vidal is kind of like the player we thought Anderson would become? For some reason watching him makes me think of a really good Anderson

I expected Anderson to become what today's Modric is. Vidal is completely different to him

I always sew the same 'Modric and Vidal' names when discussing last season, saying they were head and shoulders above the rest.

I know some will get into semantics and imply he was some sort of winger, but Koke was up there with both of them last season I reckon. He and Modric were miles ahead of the rest in Spain.

Deal off - Daily Mail.

Honestly it really is silly season. Such idiots everywhere.

So when papers claim a deal is on no one believes them.. when a deal is off it's panic time?

There is absolutely no reason stated in that article, just a load of pictures.
