Those reports where they finish off with "More to follow..." are DOOM.

That Simon Jones dude sure does get a lot of scoops from our club lately, doesn't he? (At least he pretends to do so)
Seems strange considering that no journos seem to get even half a finger from the club so far this summer.

It seems very odd for a paper to kill a deal like this without having heard anything. They wanted it up on the site so quick they didn't even bother to finish the article, hence "more to follow".

It's a worry..

They didn't even give a reason or any quotes, feck off Fail you're embarrassing

Now watch everyone who didn't believe any rumors that it was on, believe this one

James ducker did said earlier today that juve are trying to big up Vidal in transfer market with drumming up about our interest. Maybe we are briefing press now to defuse that situation.

Has Andy Green backed away from the "United are ruined" bollocks he spouted, and scared countless United fans with, yet?

Don't think he was ever 'United are doomed' just more Glazers should not saddled us with debt and walking a financial tightrope at times. Which to be fair they were...

Even with the lack of investment, huge sponsorship deals, Fergie getting us places without really investing as heavily as others. They still had to refinance twice, and float a piece of the club on the stock market.

Certainly more impartial than Drasdo

You mean the same paper and reporter that not 24 hours ago wrote an article saying the deal was about done. We won't beleive the first one but now its negative it's a serious concern.

Vidal is getting clicks like free access to brazzers at this rate.

That Daily Mail article on Vidal is devoid of any content. Considering how their business model, it's total click bait.

All I’m going to say is, it’s no coincidence an article saying Vidal deal is off comes the very same day #MUFC deny move is imminent.

Yep because i'm pretty sure the United Press Office didn't know who to tell, so they just put all the journo's names in a hat, picked one out at random, then rang their place of work and said "Pssst, you know that Vidal deal that everyone is on about, well yeah, it's off"

Anything to sell some papers. They have about as much information as we do... unless Jones has been asking his Magic 8 Ball out of desperation and it's come back no?

Does the end not justify the means? We are raking in money because of them, lets not forget that, all done without effecting on the field performances.

A deal between Manchester United and Juventus for Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal is off the table.

Vidal looked likely to make a £35million move from Serie A to the Premier League, but Louis van Gaal will be disappointed to miss out on his top midfield target.

The 27-year-old had insisted he would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and promised to sort his future once he returned from his holidays.

More to follow

Lets see here. It's off the table. LVG will be dissappointed. Yet Vidal insisted he loves to play for one of the biggest clubs and will sort out his future soon enough. Which was settled in the first paragraph, anyhow. But, there's more to follow despite, you know, the deal being off.

Please Simon Jones, no more copy pastarino dongerino cappuccino from various sources which you happened to read on your twitter timeline.

No one knows anything

That's very debatable. The first thing the Glazers did when they came in was capitalise on monetizing the brand. They saw it as undervalued, which was the most important part of their entire business plan. We hadn't capitalised as much as we could have before the Glazers. Why assume we might have done without them?

My assumption is that the Glazers aren't the only business people capable of monetising the brand. I'm presuming that this revenue surge could've happened irrespective. Granted though, there's a lot of supposition in my theory.

It's just that £600m is a lot to haemorrhage - in an ideal world, we'd have been debt free and monetised the brand.

Look at this:

Now tell me it isn't the same article, that has just been changed an re-published.

Won't be long before we get some newspaper claiming that we want to sign Di Maria instead of Vidal.

I remember the day before Mata signed, The Mirror published an article saying Mata would never sign for United.

Of course it is. It has the same pictures in it and almost identical wording throughout. He's changed the headline.
Vidal is big business, like many businesses there are terrible weak ones that rehash the same idea under a different pretence. They know nothing

Ugh! The transfer window can be such a pain in the arse trying to cut through the crap. It's exhausting. Thank God the World Cup is......oh bollocks!

Them DM article is now saying "United have decided he is not for them". What absolute trash.

We don't ask for much around these quarters, but please, apply some source criticism before you post tweets.

Some first-class revisionist Stockholm syndrome going on there.

It also says 'LVG doesn't want to pursue him'

Which is mind boggling seeing as LVG has been lauding him all summer and has attempted to sign him in the past.

I now think it's bullshit and nothing to worry about.

Nobody knows anything. Anyone posting (and believing) some random guy because 'he's followed by a few journos' or he got something right two years ago are just being desperate. Anyone posting anything from the MEN and believing it are just being desperate.

When United are close to a deal then multiple sources will probably be briefed. It's just a black hole of journos trying to get clicks, and twitter nobodies looking for followers until then.

Mirror saying we won't pay what Juventus want.

They say we won't pay £34 million. If that is true then I can only assume we don't have the money that everyone thinks we have because he's clearly worth it.

Yup! They are crippling us finanically. What's that? We've just signed a shirt deal worth in excess of £75mil a year? We are continually posting record profits despite having failed to secure a European spot? But..but... They're crippling us!
