So they wrote the first article on pure twitter rumours. Then seen Ducker said on the matter, back tracked and created that pile of crap article. It just screams lazy journalism to me.

It's not designed for the sharp witted transfer obsessed people you find on here and the like that analyse ever time stamp and detail with a tooth comb.

It's intended for the average man in the street who believes every word they read and then moans about it down the pub with their mates.

What? Have you read it? It says absolutely nothing. It's almost the same as their article earlier, by the same writer, saying it's on. Right down to the pictures. They've just changed the headline and added in "the deal is off the table". It even has the same bits about him deciding his future when he comes back from holiday.

Now, I'm not saying it'll happen, but that article is about as far from conclusive as it gets.

You weren't being serious, were you?
Yeah I was. Saying it is totally off makes me think he has reliable source.

It's why I don't go to the pub... or have any mates...

Such a shit article by the Daily Mail. No explaining why, which you'd imagine would have been one of the important facts to include.

Just 'it's off' followed by pointless padding.

"Vida move is off, Manchester United exist, they have a new manager, the player has two legs, Juventus are from Italy. More to follow."

One guy writes two articles saying the complete opposite, that way whatever happens he can say he got it right, and the other was just bad information given to him.

They'll show a picture of either back page with the heading "as we told you on Sunday 13th/Monday 14th"

Manchester United will NOT pursue interest in Arturo Vidal.

Juventus are ready to sell the Chile international and had hoped to agree a deal worth £32million with the Old Trafford club.

The 27-year-old is well regarded and came back from injury to impress in the World Cup, however, United have decided he is not for them.

Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich was in London concluding business with Arsenal for his other client Alexis Sanchez and was understood to be due to hold talks with United over a proposed transfer.

Vidal is currently on holiday after competing at the World Cup in Brazil for his country, and when quizzed by Chilean newspaper La Tercera over whether he would be joining United, he said: 'I've heard about the rumours, but I haven't spoken more about this subject.

'I'm enjoying my holidays, and when I return to Italy I'll see what happens. Anyone would like to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.'

Italian newspaper reports on Monday even claimed a deal had been agreed between the two clubs but that will not be the case as United consider other options.

They were the first (I saw) to report the Adidas deal with correct figures.

United fans on Twitter saying ''f*ck him'' already

You know I actually hate the transfer window sometimes.
Love it. People posting tweets from anyone that says a deal is almost done, and twisting in knots to prove that they are from a reliable source. Then damning any source that says there is no deal.

Nobody knows anything. As usual.

Feck this, I'm off to the pub.

Juve most probably playing hard to get and it may have come to that time where we are planting stories to get our man.

Either way he gets page clicks too. Although stories that United will sign someone probably get more clicks than the negative ones.

So they updated it but still kept the 'more to follow' bit? How many times is he going to edit this bloody thing?

If journos say it's off then it's generally off. I know he wrote the previous article but he'd look a much bigger tit if he signed now. Very disappointing.

Quite the opposite really.

  • Manchester United will NOT pursue interest in Arturo Vidal
  • Juventus are ready to sell Chile international and hoped for £32m deal
  • Louis van Gaal has decided the midfielder is not for the Old Trafford club
  • Vidal told Chilean press he would sort future after his holidays
  • United will consider other options, contrary to Italian newspaper reports

Can't argue with this solid reporting.

They were all saying we weren't signing Herrera, the day we signed him. These guys don't care if they look like tits.
