If Red Issue are also saying we've pulled out then I think I'm going to go and have a little cry now. Just ridiculous, how could we possibly think he's not needed with our midfield lacking so much quality. Maybe van Gaal wants to go with Herrera and Carrick and then go for Strootman in Jan.

Price wont be a problem at the 30-35 mill being bandied about, could be other things like wages, signing fee's or agent fee's, look what happened with Hazard, Sir Alex pretty much confirmed we pulled out because his agent wanted something ridiculous like 6 million for his part in the deal.

Every year we find new ways of being involved in bizarre and completely unpredictable transfer sagas.
Would anyone really be surprised if it has fallen through?, its happened so many times over recent seasons that you start to understand where the conspiracy theorists get their ammunition from.
I don't believe anything with us and transfers anymore, especially when we are linked to the real top class players.
The best thing to do with us is don't believe a word of it when we get linked to worldclass players, atleast then it will be a nice surprise if it comes off (the tiny chance that has of happening).
