Whats up with his knee i keep reading about? Does he have Jack Wilshere knee caps?

Had surgery just before the world cup, played in the WC on injections. Can't remember what the actual injury was prior to surgery.

This is one of those transfer I won't believe until his photographed with Woodward and Van Gaal signing the contract.

Meniscal tear, apparently. Can range in severity from a minor issue, easily resolved, to the long term nightmares endured by Saha and King :nervous:

Yes because you've been a beacon of positivity in other transfer threads.

Meniscus tear was the injury. Simple arthroscopic procedure, and hardly an injury to get worked up about, when given time to recover.

The concern was that he came back from it too soon, and with injections blocking any pain, it makes you wonder if he made it worse. The injections only carried him so far. Considering he's Chile's best PK taker, in addition to being so vital to the team, I think it shows how much he hadn't recovered to have to be taken off in that kind of a situation. That doesn't mean that he will be perpetually bothered by it, but any team should at least be concerned about it, and I would expect that United would use that uncertainty in negotiations (which is why they've been talking to the Chilean doctors, as opposed to Juve's doctors).

I have a massive man-crush on Vidal (and have since the 2007 U-20 World Cup), so I'm not saying that to take away from him. Just that I could see that being the only stumbling block that would cause United to back off (short of Juve asking for 50-60 million POUNDS, as opposed to the 60 million Euros reported by some).

Boys and girls, I've said it all along - we've got this.

It's so different to last summer. We had a Moyes who was renounded for taking an age over transfers plus a very inexperienced Woody.

Now we have Lord van God who has been there and got the t-shirt when it comes to big name players/transfers, plus Woody has got used to playing the transfer game. The Lord will appoint our new King of Vidal in the next 7-10 days I reckon and we'll see him holding up the new Utd jersey, smiling at the camera, saying how happy he is to join one of the biggest clubs in world footy, and how he's "excited by the new project which is ongoing at Old Trafford".
Fixed.

I believe he is odds on to come here.
Its just a matter of time.
Can't take that chance. And this will drag out he doesn't return to Italy until July 28th I can't see anything being announced until then if we do sign him.

The severity of a meniscal tear can vary, can it? I recall my doctor telling me when I did my ACL that meniscal tears are hard to heal because the area doesn't get much blood flow. Wonder what sort of treatments are there for top class athletes.

Wow 14.5 years on the Caf. You're probably sick to death of this place come summer transfer window.

I agree with previous posters, this Evra deal has got to do something with Vidal. I hope. Can't see this saga ending quickly, going to be a long drawn out one I reckon.
Strange I don't remember his name back then I I have bee here for almost 15 years. Imposter!!!!! Lol

So what happens if we really do sign him (and I hope he does)..Does this place erupt into a volcanic explosion of spunk? :nervous:

Juventus angry for the transfer of Vidal

It really focus on the point of view from their fans, how they'd want a big name to replace him as well as how they're supposedly responding to him publicly flirting with United / Real Madrid (think he flirted with them back in october?)

Juventus angry for the transfer of Vidal

Google translation -

Assignment Vidal; Juventino Fans angry with the company

Juventus fans are anxious about the rumors that he would like in imminent departure Arturo Vidal, now flag and symbol for the many fans of the old lady. The company would like to sell the fact that Chile would have been required by Spanish club Real Madrid, ofrendo it comes to a figure of between 40/50 million euro, a figure that would make the target flinch strongly president Andrea Agnelli who apparently would also conducive to give the player the Club Madrileno. But there would be only Real Madrid interested in the player, in fact there would be rumors from Chile that Manchester United would be pressure on the Chilean midfielder, who in turn would not hide his interest in playing in a team important and prestigious like Manchester. Fans Juventino would never want to deprive yourself of an element so important for the midfield as Arturo Vidal of Juventus, unless arrive a great item as Di Maria can compensate for the lack of the Chilean.

Seems a fan magazine sort of article rather than anything else. Still don't like the mention of Real Madrid though.

Were there not rumours yesterday that Conte would be unhappy if Vidal was sold?!
