It's the first time I've been in this thread in about 48 hours, and what seems like a pipedream signing actually looks like it may be happening.

What's the latest news that's happened today?

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the last week or so. Most notably the plane comments made by a member on that forum which weren't even deleted. And saying we on a downhill spiral and Luke Shaw is overrated etc.

Tbf half of them didn't even 'get' the plane joke.
The club and leagues future looks pretty grim. Can understand why they would be pretty tetchy about losing a player that awesome.

I feel bad for them anyway.
Honestly it doesn't make much odds imo though. Not without a pretty serious recovery by the league in general (which i dont see happening anytime soon).
This or somthing similar has been coming for a while i'd think

It has more to do with the leaks stopping as soon as we hired van Gaal. The press has been "all over the place" since he was hired. They have no fecking clue.

More to do with when we sacked Moyes.

I think Vidal is on holiday at the moment though. So I doubt anything will be completed until he returns.
Not really, Sanchez was on holiday prior to the Arsenal deal. He flew in for his medical and then returned to Mexico for holiday.

I kinda have a feeling that even if Conte is mad about losing Vidal (hypothetical) it isn't to do with actually losing him maybe the club are refusing to actually replace him and are deciding to reinvest the money in a different position. All completely my opinion, of course.

What are the chances of this happening? Some people seem to be quite confident here

It could also be the fact that the Italy job is available but there are less chances of that happening as he just signed a contract extension. Also, it has to be something immediate for him to resign in this fashion so we can be sure it has to be something squad related.

I'm extremely convince that a midfield of Carrick-Vidal-Herrera would match any team's midfield in the world, even Bayern and Barca.

Surely if Morata and Iturbe fizzle out so does Juve's reason to sell?

Just kidding

Artur?

WOODY!!!

Juve have signed two promising midfielders in Vajebah Sakor and Kingsley Coman, so maybe their plan is to look to the youth. They could probably buy co-ownership of a decent player to fill in for the meantime whilst blooding in the two I mentioned.

Juventus manager resigned after a board meeting to extend his contract by a further 3 years kicking off rumours its because the board told him they will be selling
Vidal and/or Pogba.

Then further rumours after the resignation was €44 million for Vidal and €10 a year wages at United.

I thought co-ownership was ending.
That's news to me, although I don't particularly follow Italian football so you could very well be right.

Edit: A quick Google says you're right.

Juve would win that league even if Pogba and Vidal left.

Exactly, I don't see why they're losing the plot over in their fans forum. They were never gonna win the UCL any time in the next 5 years and were always gonna lose a player or two capable of improving a bigger club squad. They were lucky enough with transfers as it is, can't really complain about 30m profit on Vidal or 80m profit and Pogba.

With Roma's resurgence that wouldn't be a formality.
Good point. I'm sure they'd be up there though 100%.

I reckon they will be more disappointed about the Champions LEague. That is apparently why the coach resigned today - he had ambitions to win it which to everyone looked possible, Now they look to be selling their best player(s) it shows a lack of ambition.

Basically, Deal was on last night, deal off this morning, on again this afternoon, then off again this evening but now seems to be on again...

Probably correct. Juventus haven't come close to competing for the Champions League since Conte has been there and they seemingly don't have the financial clout to elevate their status to challengers. Vidal and Pogba would be key if they have any chance, but with their board it's unlikely they can progress to contenders anyway.

If they bring in the right coach, they will still be there or thereabouts you'd think, though Allegri would be a poor choice.

Why don't they just promote Massimo Carrera? He did a fine job as stand in for Conte when he was banned. He'd be a better choice than Allegri.

Juventuz forum taking Conte's resignation well:

Conte has greater aspirations, and rightly so. The Jive management cannot guarantee him a future where big players stay and build on that foundation. Rather than, selling top players to get more players. That is not in Conte's mentality, especially after the success he has had. He will want to improve all the time.

He will move on to a club that will give him all the money he desires and Juve will move on for greater things (although steadily).

Last but not least, fuk off Redcafe.

If he does come to us then i want a United Vs Juve CL final in the next 3 years. Would be tasty.

Juventuz forum taking Conte's resignation well:

I don't understand the bitterness at all. Are they all just Scousers in disguise. Why so much hatred?. Just because we are in for their player?. FFS, I didn't see any hatred towards juve here when they snatched Pogba.

All fans are like this with other clubs, and generally United isn't really liked by others if they aren't United fans. We're the club everyone likes to hate in England because we dominated for so long. On here we also have the newbie system keeping the idiots from being seen so there's that.

Mixed bag of quotes but Conte's are particularly interesting.... Of course I'm interpreting this in utd's favour but it's a loaded statement no doubt.

'I have decided to terminate my contract with Juventus,' he said.

'I have matured with time and my feelings led me to make this choice. It may be more difficult to keep winning with Juventus.

'An enormous thank you for what you have given to me as a player and as a coach. I have always been close to you. I want to say that the journey taken in recent years has been historic.

'Winning is difficult. It comes with a lot of effort, especially in a club like Juventus where there is the obligation of victory, but I showed I'm a winner.'

Well since he specifically mentions the CAF, I'm guessing it's more to do with how some here are taking the piss about their reactions. It's not as if we're doing to them what Liverpool is doing to Southampton.

They're English speaking posters though.

I'd imagine it's a different attitude among the real fans...

Most of those "fans" in the juventuZ forum are just kids from around the world who signed up in there to troll around and talk bollocks (typically following certain players). Pretty much why we have the newbie system here... which is failing i have to say, for the level of stupid comments across the main forum.

Its a shame this has turned into a kids battle royal "representing" two big clubs that respect each other.

This type of posts and discussions resembles more of the newbie forum....

It's also an English based forum, so I assume most of them are naturally English speakers, which means they are fairly likely to have a general dislike for Manchester United.

That Juventuz forum is incredible. They put Olly and Jeston to shame:
