Also think Cleverley might be given a chance as he strikes me as the sort of player who could fulfil a role under LVG well. However if Fellaini, Ando and Cleverley all leave, that would pave the way for another CM addition to leave us with 4 CMs in all

Not true, we have less games this season. Besides, we are pretty bloated as it is, and 3 of the 8 of those players weren't even at the club last season. If van Gaal wants to work with 20-23(?) men as a tight squad players need to go. He can bring in about 3 or 4 and ease in some youth. It's fine.
If Van Gaal is to be believed, we may have to wait another few weeks before we see any action.

If this is true, perhaps Welbeck is used more as a wide player with 3 wingers leaving. Leaves us with Mata, Valencia, Januzaj, Kagawa and Welbeck for the wide positions. These Cavani rumours will make more sense if Hernandez leaves as well, but I think he'll stay.

If all them players are sold they all don't have to be replaced. We haven't got Europe this season so a massive squad isn't required. Replace half of them and the other half next year (if we make Europe that is)

Mata fits best in the number 10 position and LvG knows where to plug players in to utilize them the best.

Most likely (i guess) means that the clubs reached a point at £35m where Juventus gave us permission to speak to Vidal and his agent about a potential contract and also giving us relevant information they have about his injury and now holding out for more than that, while we're ''playing hardball'' trying to close the deal as close to those £35m as possible.

Yep, I reckon our squad was bloated even WITH Europe. I would rather us use this opportunity to clear out all the dead wood and get down to a smaller core of quality and high potential players. Sign a few genuine quality players now. Then, if we get back in Europe, then we can bring in some additional players as and when required.
I expect they'll be after another striker now. Maybe Cavani, Falcao or Bony?
Also 3 wingers in that list, surely we are in for another winger if them 3 go.
I'd be happy if we kept Nani, but if someone comes in with some top dollar then it will be hard to say no
