And if we do get this guy it will back up an idea I have had all along. The idea is - If Nani didn't play for us he would be worth 30m minimum.
Well yeah, if he was actually playing well. That's his main trouble of late, not that he plays for us.

Nani of 2 years ago would easily be worth 40m, if not more... The problem is that he's been injured for 2 years pretty much and hasn't shown anything in the few games he's had.

Don't give a shit about fees anymore - the market is crazy, 30m is completely different to what it was 5 years ago. If LvG rates him and wants him then go get him. I'll be surprised if we add anything to our attack though considering the numbers we have and the fact LvG seems quite flexible with his tactics/formations.

From what I have seen of him, I wasn't overly impressed I must say.

If the likes of Reus, Di Maria etc are not really possible, I'd rather play a diamond in midfield and let the wing backs roam forward a bit more. It would also solve the problem of fitting Rooney and RVP in the same team
Strootman
Vidal - - - - Herrara
Mata
Rooney --- RVP

This is ridiculous, he is obviously stalling because he fancies another club, why would City persist with him?

How is that the obvious reason? A far more likely reason is the complicated ownership of the player and the subsequent negotiations with the relevant parties. He has had his medical and seemingly agreed to sign.

Ulloa is awful, very suspect signing from Leicester. Never looked great in the Championship and will not be able to handle the step up in quality either.

I'm not really a fan of Cuadrado. If we're not signing a top talent like Di Maria or Reus then I'd rather just promote Lawrence and Lingard. Although our actual wingers are unreliable we have lots of players fighting for those wide spots, the likes of Kagawa, Welbeck... even Rooney, possibly.

A Frenchman with the character of the fire. Artist without rules, many misunderstood genius. A Scottish gruff and outspoken. An explosive mix that could flare up in a flame and then disappear: Cantona and Ferguson. But the flame is strong and vigorous, as red as the colors of the United. One with another in order to sculpt the icon of English football in the 90s that is reborn from the ashes: Cantona at Manchester United. The story was written with red ink color. Yet the jersey of the "Reds" was not the first that the French ace has worn in England. After leaving France because eager for a change of scenery after the first famous excesses, arrived at Leeds United after rejecting the second trial with Sheffield Wednesday. He went from having the reputation of "recommended" Platini, to become quickly a crowd favorite. But it was all short. A flame fact. A Leeds Cantona stayed just one season. The time to win the league and get into the history of the club today Cellino. Then a burning elimination from the Champions League, and the lure of a gentleman by the name of Alex Ferguson (who in a few years would be "sir") led to a dramatic farewell would be completed in an unusual November.

The news sent the Leeds fans on a rampage: the viewfinder Cantona, accused of being an opportunist. But even coach Howard Wilkinson was not spared, because he was accused of not having tried to hold back. That "marpione" Ferguson, in fact, followed Cantona since the early auditions for the Premier League. Enormous technical potential, but also the right personality. In fact, too well. He decided he needed a steady hand to guide a player so prone to lose control. But if this hand of Alex Ferguson and the mission is not impossible. The Leeds, a little 'surprise, the transaction closes immediately, knowing that Cantona would still pressured to leave. The sample that had just been given the title went to the United for just 1.2 million. A deal that exalted Ferguson, who without fear of distrust of the fans staked everything on Cantona, giving him the number 7 shirt, that of Best and Robson.

Heavy legacy, of which the French showed up. Victim of its character and opposed at home, raised the collar of his red jersey from the first game. Its hallmark. It was presented by a beaming Ferguson November 27 1992: "I came in a big, big club - said Cantona - Leeds is fabulous, but here everything is bigger. And it was what I needed. " No middle ground, and off the field. The genius dressed in red. Cantona and Manchester United were ready to write the story.

This strikes me as an odd deal. They're buying a second or third tier, pretty recently converted CB, who will have next to no sell on value for €20m, when they could probably get a better player for roughly the same price or a little more and at a better age. He's a good player, obviously, but I don't think he's worth that.

Could very well be the reason why he won't feature on the tour.

Thats a shame, he's the player I most wanted to see on the tour, I honestly believe he should be in the first team next season, no loans etc I think with game time for us he will improve.
