I think we will take so long preparing this Vidal bid that we will inadvertently miss the transfer deadline and have to sign him next summer, like Herrera.

This "OMG LOLZ WE SPEND SO MUCH TIME PREPARING BIDS" joke wasn't funny last season and isn't funny this season.

Can't post full article to avoid legal problems, but here's summary of everything in it:
  • Alan Keegan (Old Trafford announcer), at an event for watch partner Bulova in Hollywood accidentally said we won the Uefa Cup when listing our honours. One official shook his head and whispered 'no' when it happened.
  • Relaxed mood in the camp, sense of excitement. Female member of staff showed off red nail polish.
  • Silvestre believes City will never rival United for support: “They might win trophies here and there but they won’t gain support. “I have been travelling a lot for United in the last six months. I have been to Asia, and the support there is unbelievable and honestly City is nowhere near that. The way they do their business, it’s ... it doesn’t get people to support them. They just buy trophies. When you grow players and when you give them a chance and you stick by them when they make mistakes, that shows courage and that is what United is all about.”
  • Woodward returned home last night though it was longer in the planning. "General business" was given as reason though fans will be hoping it is signing related.
  • van Gaal and coaches been working players hard with plenty of double training sessions though they've been given time off this morning.
Thanks a ton, interesting to note everyone loves van gaal's sessions from the begining, in comparison ific, Moyes sessions were more fitness based. It also involved a dreaded run that people though would make ando slimmer. There were constant rumblings that we did not do attacking sessions and we did not work with the ball. Over training van persie early in the pre season was another mistake. Good to see there is a lot of positiveness around the club.

He loves Strootman and Vidal is Strootman on steroids, so its safe to assume van Gaal rates him.
Agreed. Really hope he's pushing this transfer as much as these Chilean outlets are saying.

And whilst we are at it , neither is adding 'ON' or 'OFF' to the end of the name of our transfer targets!

We are doing such a good job at keeping our business under wraps.
Not good for us muppets, need some transfer news badly

I thought Pereyra played mainly as a central midfielder last season, i read it somewhere. Or maybe i just confused him with someone else. Anyway as long as Juve are spending their money we can hope, eh?:D

Before I was upgraded from the newbies for such fabulous posts...unliek this one I was chatting to an Italian fan in there who was saying they were after Pereyra (as yes he was one of my favourite virtual unknowns on football manager I had to ask about him).
He is really an attacking midfielder that can play wide but isnt really a winger as such, The Italian said something similar to anothe rposter in here, good in a 4-3-3 as one of the 3 midfielders, For me in case intrigued he was a great box to box midfielder as well as being ablt to fill in as a number 10 very well and play out wide if needed....sounds liek an ideal Vidal replacement doesnt it, but I think he is more of an ernergetic attackign midfielder than an all rounder from said Italian fans description so not really a like for like Vidal replacement as much as he sounds.

So we are buying Cuadrado? Why not Quintero who is exactly 20% better?

Yeah, personally I think Quintero is a smashing little player we didnt see enough of in the world cup, wondering if he wasnt fully fit or was it his age and experience? Think he has just as much talent as Rodriguez and potentially a better player as well.....liek Rodiguez though, best as a number 10 and we have too many of those as it is, shame as Id love to see him in the premier league but not for anybody else....being Porto though I bet the buyout fee is ridiculous

Which one do you prefer? For me zidane/ronaldo/beckham/raul/figo easily.

Out of the bottom row, the only player I would consider a "galactico" would be Ronaldo. The others are not at that level imo. A "galactico" would have to be a player that is undisputedly world class and one of the best in his position. The only other players at Madrid that I would consider to be a "galactico" would be Alonso and maybe ramos.
