Except Pjanic and Strootman who is out whose also thriving under Garcia, none of the others look anything special. Naingollan is doing well this season so far but don't think he's anything special either.
It's more annoying when Roma get Strootman on a low fee, whilst we (Champions of England at the time) pissed about going after Alcantara and Fabregas all summer meaning we ran out of time.
Because he actually plays against decent midfields.
Strootman, nainggolan and especially pjanic I would take in a second. Same with their central defenders, or at least castan and manolas. Great to have such a strong spine.

ScholesyDon't think strootman will walk back into the side when he comes back, naingollan has generally done really well since he signed. A proper box to box player. Also part of the reason why I think we have an pod chance of signing him for like 30m, they already have him replaced in the team.

This Roma team really are fun to watch, Pjanic is such a talent, he just knits everything together so effortlessly.
To be fair, Strootman never really looked that impressive before he played for Roma and that was playing in the Eredivisie as well.
Certainly I didn't particularly want him based on what I'd seen for PSV and Holland U21.

Im the sort of dude who after watching barcelona all these years, when i made a team on fifa ill go for the tika taka style passing football. But when you actually watch football at the highest level, Teams with pace, and who have the composure to use it effectively on the break, are the best to watch as well as having the easier time of it.

Haha, that's shocking again from Kompany. Some day he'll show up in Europe.
I'm not saying he would have solved the midfield problem but I think it was worth a punt considering he went for what, 8 million? We still would have needed another player but as I've said before, it was a poor strategy to just go solely for 'names' to fill the gap. Even this summer, we got stars like Falcao and Di Maria but also players like Blind, Rojo and Herrera that were exactly what we needed.

Might be extremely harsh but Kompany in the CL has rarely put in a good performance. That Barca game at the Camp Nou was probably his best game in the CL.
De Rossi and Nainggolan are classy players who would improve most teams, especially those who have central midfield trouble. De Rossi would even walk into your central defence.
