Champions League 14/15 group stage matchday 2 (09/30 + 10/01)

Liverpool are on their way to the Europa League, methinks. Excellent.

Looks tired to me, still a kid after all and he's played a lot of football over the past year including the World Cup albeit only the group stage.

True. The commentators were saying that he might not play for England in the upcoming qualifiers.

I dont think ive ever watched a Basel match where I havent been impressed, there fans are great and the quality of football is brilliant

I can't wait to see what Real Madrid can do to this woeful Liverpool team.

Sterling has been shite but he's literally (okay, not literally) carrying the rest of Pool on his young shoulders so he's allowed to have a stinker or two.

It was yeah, he just has a really weird and awkward technique. I always think he looks like an outfield player who is having a decent go at being in goal.
Another really good save just then!

Yeah I can understand what you mean, the previous one is probably going to look weird on slow motions (a bit like the really high kick by De Gea a couple of years back against Real), but I think it was good. He was probably afraid of falling into his goal! :D

I've found them pretty poor tonight to be honest. We've just been worse.

Balotelli justifies his presence by winning free-kicks for Gerrard to justify his presence. It's all making sense now.

The Real Madrid that are only beating Ludgorets courtesy of a penalty that came from a dive?

The Ludogorets-Real referee is worse than Clattenburg in his bias.

Yeah, he is a great keeper. He reminds me of Barthez, and he cracked me up too :)

Really poor refereeing at the Ludogorets - Real game. Some baffling decisions.

That's it Skrtel, lump it up to Lambert!

Ospina has been fantastic for Arsenal, Scznsznsnzny should be fearing his place on the team.

Aaaand now he's injured.
