funny how all the experts here predicted Koeman to be sacked early and Soton going down.. laughable. Pelle is white Pelé..
It's laughable in hindsight.

Yeah, easily been their most impressive player for me.He's getting the headlines but it was all about Tadic today, absolutely ran the show. 4 assists and a goal, this lad will play at a higher level soon
It just goes to show that we all know feck all about football.
I don't think there was a single person on these boards who'd have said that Koeman and Southampton would be anywhere close to where they are now, playing the way that they are playing.
Quite sensational.
And also funny how many on here shiver at the thought of Eredivisie players. Yet Pelle and Tadic are setting the league alight and both come from Eredivisie.
This season's Michu?
Of course they did, it's like Arsenal fans magically now rating Welbeck after previously calling him dog shit.Pelle has done well but I agree, Tadic is the real quality signing.
Koeman deserves a lot of credit though, he's improved some players to no end. There's fans on Southamptons forum who reckon Bertrand is playing better for them than Shaw ever did.
Hodgson is the answerOn another note, I remember being laughed at on here when I said Clyne is one of the best right backs in the league...
How he isn't starting for England is beyond me. He's quality.
Strange bump, I know, but would anyone take him on the cheap as a back up striker? He's not had the best season, but Van Gaal knows him and plays like 9 should in the Van Gaal system. He would essentially be Fellaini, but a goal threat.
The Austin buy has made me think this and by no means am I saying he should be first team or the answer to our problems. I just see very little available out there.
I'd prefer us to aim higher but I do believe that part of the Austin deal is to find a British like-for-like as best as they can and sell Pelle on, perhaps in the summer, given how he is 30+ now and the chances of a large transfer fee for him will be dwindling.
He'll find a home back in Italy though I feel. There's some decent money flowing back into Serie A lately.
We could do worse.
But we have worse in Wayne Rooney.
There are not many of them. There are a lot of better centre forwards, but hardly any with a similar style. I also think he's underestimated. He's the kind of centre forward managers like to play allthough they don't score goals, because they're always a handful, they have assists and contribute a lot to chances otherwise, and are a kind of a bridgehead in the opponents half. But Pelle does score a nice amount of goals too.Surprised at the amount of positive replies towards that question. Thought we'd aim a little better. I guess he does suit Van Gaal's set up, but I'm sure we could do with a better player with a similar style.
Yes, tell the barber he's done a great job.Gets his hair cut at my barbers. Shall I have a word?
Thanks, but what about Pelle?Yes, tell the barber he's done a great job.
Rooney is clearly worse than Pelle, statistics is one thing whereas actual performances is second thing, Pelle doesn't take spot kicks if I remember well and didn't play Championsleague against very poor Brugge. Pelle is a player who is great at hold up play and brings everyone into the game, great player to have for set pieces, attacking, defending... he was great at the start of the season and after the injury faded away little bit, Rooney was constant shit since the beginning of the season goal/assist wise and every second game if I'm generous to him it felt like we play with 10 men, I wouldn't want Pelle here though, he's their level player.. Rooney shoudln't be around our club that's another thingrooney isnt any worse than Pelle though. This season Pelle has 9 goals from 22 games in all competition and Rooney has 11 from 26. Last season Pelle had 16 goals from 44 games and Rooney had 14 from 37 games.
Which song?He got name-dropped in a 2 chainz track.
Good player, wouldn't mind him as an experienced backup striker but for the first XI we should be aiming a bit higher. Thanks, but what about Pelle?

Think its more to do with the brand Pelle Pelle.
May be he likes Southampton on FIFA.
