He's not going anywhere. He will see out his career at Liverpool Football Club, he will retire in a season or two and he will be doing his coaching badges and working for us at Melwood. He should be lauded by any right minded fan of any club as a model professional who committed his career to his hometown Club, the team he supported as a boy. He has lived the dream of any kid who kicked a ball in a park or a playground.
When he retires, every Liverpool fan should get down on their knees and thank him for the things he has delivered for us, the effort and sacrifice that he has made. And then we should all club together and pay for statue of him alongside Shankly, because his commitment to the club and the fans saw us through some of our darkest times in the last half century, and he delivered us our finest moment of the last thirty years. If we raise enough, it should be cast from solid gold. I cannot think of another English player in my lifetime who has done so much for their club and their fans.
Stop moaning and bickering about Steven George Gerrard, stop questioning the man, and thank your lucky stars you ever saw him play in Red.
