RAWK Goes into Meltdown 2014/2015 - The "We go again" Edition

Not in the slightest.

Gerrard hasn't been world class? He's probably one of the two greatest players ever to play for our club. His form from 2003-2009 would have seen any side in the world bite your hand off for him. Unless you only consider Messi and Ronaldo world class (which you clearly don't) then Gerrard certainly was and was one of the best two or three players in Europe.

I think you got proper confused Barney. Gerrard was the one who was verging on world class, Lucas was the other guy in your midfield.

So Owen won it, but was not the best player in Europe. Lampard ended up in 2nd place, but that does not mean that he is the better player. Gerrard finished 3rd and thus showed that he was one of the best players in the world.

Pound for pound rafa is the best manager in the world

 In the context of football, i don't understand this notion.

I mean, this poster is basically saying that if you exclude all the best coaches than Rafa is the best.

Which is why he came third in the Balon d'or.

Once in a year when Liverpool had just won the CL, which every pundit declared as a win by Gerrard alone (rightly or wrongly, can't be even be arsed getting into that.) Not hard to see why he might have been in their thoughts that year.

What's his excuse for not kicking on and being in contention in the years beyond?

He does make a truly proper run that was incisive and well angled that drug (dragged, probably) Cahill into the position he was in for him to eventually deflect it in
It's definitely dragged mate.

Yes, he won us a CL, had us in the final of another, had us constantly in the latter stages of the competition, won an FA cup, had us in the champions league in all but one year, etc. What a joke!
In that case I see why you were glad to have him, why was he sacked again?. Nothing against the bloke, he clearly loves Liverpool but I don't see him as one of the best managers in the world now or ever, he's competent, pulls together a competent team but I don't see him improving upon last year for you. And if you are happy to come second at best in all but two competitions in all the years, frankly, Liverpool's high standards have slipped.

Don't forget that his standard MO seems to be to drive a wedge between the club owners and fans so that he can manipulate the latter and blame everything on the former.I'll be happy with him back at LFC.

Does RAWK have a RedCafe thread?
No. I saw someone ask why they don't on RAWK. The reply was that they aren't obsessed with us, like we are with them.

They just have a United thread with 16,000 posts instead...

Does RAWK have a RedCafe thread?

They used to, but decided they were too classy to have one so they closed it after all the death threats & when it started fizzing.

I really hope they get rafa back, he was a bigger joke than rodgers. After Rafa they will bounce back and want dalglish before pinning for rodgers again.

He really wasn't. Benitez is a very good manager. If Liverpool were to sack Rodgers now and bring in Benitez they'd have a much better chance of getting top 4.

We laugh at RAWK but they have excellent posters, very knowledgeable, it's a shame that the idiots are taking all the light.

That's actually true isnt it :(

I got a screenshot before it was locked:

Benitez is not all that, he's no better than Mancini at City etc. He may well have Liverpool nailed on for 4th but that doesn't bother me, he got lucky in 2005 inheriting some decent players, the run to the final, Livepool scraped through, and in the final Milan thought the game was won at halftime.

The FA cup win vs West Ham, frankly took a Gerrard strike he only hit because he was knackered. Hes no Genius, still only my opinion, city would be welcome to him too for my money!!!
