Meh.. I wanted to see Bayern vs Atleti.

Real Madrid vs PSG

Barcelona vs Juventus

And one of Porto and Monaco to reach the semi finals.

PSG - Barca
Atletico - Real Madrid
Porto - Bayern
Juventus
-
Monaco

PSG v Barca and Atletico v Real should be crackers.

Oh right-yup.

...and I fear that they're running out of steam again (coupled with Modric' return for RM) which will see them losing the CL encounter once again just like last season.

Juventus will be in the final

Happy enough with the draw as PSG good side, but not unbeatable. Atletic, your time for revenge has come

Perhaps, but they do seem to raise their game against RM. Somehow, Simeone has just found that formula to always get a result against RM(barring the CL final last season), much like Mourinho managed to find a knack for always getting a result against Barca (especially in his final season).

Alan Smith with the typical English mix of ignorance and arrogance. "When you watch PSG in their league games, they look as if they can almost sleepwalk their way through games. In truth it isn't a very good league, but they've managed to turn it on for the CL" ... Sigh.

Well, he´s not wrong. It´s not like there is another French team in the quarterfinal. :nervous:

Would Pogba be fit for the semi finals, should Juve progress?

I'd expect that sort of stuff from Merson. PSG aren't even top of their league are they? I think Lyon are.

PSG have as many points in 29 games as United in the Premier League. To put this a bit into perspective. They sure as hell didn't look worse than United whenever I watched them in their league games though.

What is the semi draw ?
There'll be a separate draw for the semis after the quarterfinals are played. They changed that 2 or 3 years ago. Before that they always did the quarter and semifinals together.

Eh? Barca smashed Madrid while Mourinho was there.

I bet he doesnt even watch games in Ligue 1 at all, just speaking bollocks.

I want Porto or Atletico to win the whole thing. Then United can get England back off its arse and win the Champions League next season

Boring games for me. Bayern will destroy Porto, Juve - Monaco isn't a cracker and the other 2 games are attractive, but we have seen them already often enough.

I think Bayern, Barca, Atletico and Juve will make it to the semifinals and Bayern - Barca should be the dream final, if the draw does allow it.

In Mourinho's final season they played each other 6 times. RM won 5 and lost/drew the other.

Also, I'm including Mourinho's time at Inter/Chelsea here.

Played 6 times, 3 wins for Real Madrid, 2 draws, 1 win for Barcelona.

Already got a bet on with a hardcore Real Madrid mate of mine :D He's very confident they'll go through although they've only won one in eight against Atletico. I think Ancelotti is cursing at home.

Yup. Not only aren't PSG at the top of the table, "sleepwalking" their way to the title (they're in fact embroiled in a four-way title race, more competitive than any other top league), there's another French team in the QFs, both of them having beaten English sides to get there.

I don't see PSG beating Barca, particularly with Ibrahimovic suspended for 1 match. Think Barca will have more than enough to beat them especially if they have a similar performance to the City game this week.

Yet you always have clueless guys like Alan Smith still thinking every other league is crap..

I think PSG look better and are more fluid without Ibra.

Really hoping for Barca vs Bayern in semis, 2 best teams in Europe at the moment.
PSG - Barca
Atletico
- Real Madrid
Porto - Bayern
Juventus

Monaco

My prediction too. The top 2 ties are going to be great match ups

From a United POV, I'm hoping Monaco or Atleti win the whole thing, preferably Monaco. Our CL trophy haul is being caught up or overtaken by too many teams, and the ones we're supposed to be chasing are getting further and further away. Not good.

Hope Real don't win it, either - don't want any team but us to be the first to do it back-to-back in the modern era.

Think Ibra not being there is a blessing in disguise. Problem for them is, Verratti won't play the first leg which will hurt them.
