3-1 Ronaldo!
Your contributions in this thread actually make me happy. My live update didn't show anything, but I went for it when I got your signal![]()
And he's back on form.
Goal number 50 that is, the first player to do so in 5 consecutive seasons I believe?

tbf, 5 is a hell of a lotGerry Armstrong said 6. Silly of me to listen to him.
Because the rate he scores at is absolutely ridiculous. Every goal is an addition to his already large tally. It is not necessarily the quality of his goals that has people always commenting, but rather the consistency with which he scores.I remember when he started scoring every game for us and I was like "he can't possibly keep this up, can the?!". How wrong I was! He want event a natural finisher as a kid ffs.
Also, why is this thread always full of so many posts every time he scores a goal? (I'm ignoring my contribution in this time)

Stans gonna stan![]()
Always makes me laugh when people criticise his attitude / personality / character based on seeing him for 90 minutes out of the week!
Knobheads are usually called as knobheads. I don't understand why being a great player should have any bearing into it.
Don't be absurd.
It's 6 seasons.
I agree.Knobheads are usually called as knobheads. I don't understand why being a great player should have any bearing into it.
Less so but still so.Ben Thatcher could be classed as a knobhead from what he has done on a football pitch. Ronaldo less so.
Saw this on Fb:

Agree. Basically people just don't like someone who is very good at something, proud of that and displaying it. They would much rather prefer someone pretending to be humble but who is actually a cnut (if you know who I mean). It is too much to expect from bunch of pseudo-intellectuals on a forum to acknowledge the talent and effort needed to where Cristiano has reached.
Oh his talent and error are indeed phenomenal.Agree. Basically people just don't like someone who is very good at something, proud of that and displaying it. It's funny that all that time back the majority felt Rooney was the bigger talent![]()
But it just goes to show how we underestimate the technical side of the game. Rooney had the brain and grit but ronaldo's technical superiority despite the frustration meant his ceiling was inherently higher.Indeed! But to be fair, Rooney completely outshone and outperformed him during his two first seasons in United.

Around till 2006/07 I think they were at equal footing. Rooney didn't do bad by any stretch of imagination from then till now but Ronaldo always had this ambition of becoming the best in the world and his single mindedness towards that objective took him that much farther from Rooney.
Yes but also the technical gap between the two. How often do we bemoan Rooneys first touch and how often does ronaldo's let him down? And at the time I don't think I would have focused on that.Around till 2006/07 I think they were at equal footing.
