Milner's not a bad acquisition. But Rodgers is now just randomly gathering in one place the pieces of different jigsaw puzzles.
Milner's the type of player you appreciate when you have him. A bit of skill, works hard, and is a good professional - all valuable traits. An English version of Blind or Park
Milner is a good player and will be a good signing for them.
But if he is their 'marquee' signing then they're in for some more trouble this coming season - unless of course Rodgers has his tactics on point.

But it's not just that: They actually invite people to debate, say, the future of the club, next season, where they are going, etc. But as soon as someone drops a critical remark, mentions the manager's name without stressing that he should be given a life contract, and so forth – locked. Or, my favourite: “Locked for cleanup”.
The purpose of RAWK, a football forum, is not to discuss football, but rather to discuss the idea of Liverpool FC – the latter being akin to a Platonic idea, that is, something which does not exist in the world of the senses (thankfully).

Whats funny is that Rawk is almost a propaganda site now for the club, almost anything negative is deleted or closed etc, yet the OFFICIAL Liverpool forums are open to anything anybody wants to say.
The official Liverpool forums are much better than Rawk these days, plus the site is almost as big as Rawk.

RAWK is just such an ugly site to look at. Such an ugly layout. I'd find it hard to enjoy posting there, even as a Liverpool fan.

I doubt they'll ever open up registration again, so they'll probably close his account after he leaves and if he wants back in he won't be allowed? Seems like the kind of thing they'd do.
They might as well come right out and say something like "These forums will only be for praising LFC, its players, and all staff members. If you have anything even slightly negative to say, take it to another forum, even if it's 100% true. You're. Not. Welcome. Here." That's how they run it already, not sure why they need to pretend to be a forum of open mindedness and honest discussion. I'm sure there are enough deluded RAWK nutters on there that the forums would still thrive.
Well, according to the scouse boom bust cycle, Liverpool should be having the best team in the world in about a month's time.

I always imagine that the mods on Rawk are the real old school Liverpool fans, the fans that have lived through the 'glory days' and can't accept how shite they are these days so they just ban all negativity so they can continue living in their delusion bubble.

It's simple, grey, symmetrical and imposing. Sparsely decorated by grand bird and torch icons, a heroic image of past glory carved into the face and padlocks. It couldn't adhere more closely to the fundamentals of authoritarian architecture and fascist aesthetics. It's fitting.
