De Bruyne just extended his contract meaning next year he'll cost in the 60-70Mio € range, if he is able to maintain his performance level. Head of VW, who owns Wolfsburg and is a member of Bayern's board () played a part in the agreement.
"Sport 1" names Antoine Griezmann/Atletico Madrid, Maxime Gonalons/Olympique Lyon, Angel Di Maria/Manchester United, Breel Embolo/FC Basel and Matteo Darmian/FC Turin as prime targets. In the meantime, di Maria announced somewhat half-assed he will return to Old Trafford after the summer break.
Oh, and Xavi Alonso will swap his "3" for Pizarros "14" in the upcoming season. And Raimond van der Gouw recommends Manuel Neuer as De Gea replacement

And if we remember the recent seasons at the end Bayern will have made a couple of smart transfers nobody thought about who - when it goes like the recent years - all are performing great...
Griezmann would be a dream. Darmian could be an interesting option (if lahm has to play as central midfielder)
The first round of the German Cup is at the 8th/9th/10th of August. Bundesliga starts Friday August 14th.
Breitenreiter is the new Schalke manager. Not sure what to make of it. He did alright with Paderborn but I don't think he's anything special, certainly hasn't done anything that makes him a standout candidate for the job.
And it seems like Ribery is out for a few more months. What the feck is wrong with our medical staff? It's a fecking ankle injury, I don't get. It turned from 'he'll be back in a few days' to 'he's out for half a year'.

Breitenreiter did a decent job at Paderborn, but managing Schalke will be a completely different task in lterally every single aspect. Seems like an extremely risky choice to me.
Breitenreiter seems to be the low budget solution. Not a bad choice, but if things go tits up again, he´ll be sacked in a heartbeat. He doesn´t have the standing/charisma/experience to last very long in this chaos.

Yeah, he started on fire in Guardiola's first season with us. Absolutely fantastic, but after the winterbreak it all changed and since then he stumbled from strange back problems without a clear diagnosis to some real injuries to this mysterious ankle injury now. He hasn't been fit for more than 18 months and there's no other player available who could provide the team with what Ribery gave us over the last 8 years.
I think they dogded a bullet with Wilmots. I'm not impressed with his work for Belgium at all and if the rumoured demands are true, that could have been another incredibly expensive failure (and because of his history at the club, an even more difficult one to get rid of). Breitenreiter is a bit of a boring but somewhat save appointment. I'm not even sure if he's really a better coach than Keller, but the fact that he's appointed as the 'real' manager at the beginning of the season should help his standing and he can't really do worse than Di Matteo in my opinion. There's so much talent in the squad and it's unlikely that their injury crisis will continue as bad as it was last year. He's also more likeable than Keller, we'll see. The big problem is that Heldt is still at the club.
I still believe that Gisdol would have been perfect for Schalke at the moment though, surprised that there weren't any rumours at all. His style of football and energy would fit perfectly to the club and to the squad, the fans would like him as well and he's a somewhat interesting character, at least in comparison to Breitenreiter.
Will Streich ever coach a different team than Freiburg? That's an interesting one as well. I'm not sure if he fits in anywhere else, but he's clearly a fantastic coach.
I agree with almost everything you say, but Schalke fans/management don´t fancy a "boring" manager. They want Pep/Klopp 2.0. Someone with flair; someone who is exciting; someone who reflects their ambition to be a top club. Thats why Breitenreiter will have a hard time and when things don´t go his way, he´ll lose their backing.
As much as I dislike his antics, I love him on the pitch. He is such an outstanding player and he carried Bayern on his own for years.It was inevitable...

This may be the media narrative, but it's not really the case. Jara was always likely to leave this summer. The club wasn't happy with his performances, Jara wasn't happy with his limited appearances. Him poking Cavani doesn't change anything.
Dortmund to win the title might be worth a little punt at 20-1. They look really good during this Asian Tour already, despite Tuchel only being there for four weeks. Lots of good interplay with unfamiliar line-ups with impressive youngsters like Stankovic, Maruoka and Dudziak. Gundogan, Reus, Kagawa and Mkhitarayan look rejuvenated. Aubameyang still banging in the goals. Immobile sell to sevilla flushes in some more cash. They play M´Gladbach on opening night. An impressive win and their odds will be under 10-1.
Can't wait to see Mayer in action this season. IMO the biggest German talent out there. Its not normal for germany to produce such an accomplished technician on the ball. What's great about the bundesliga is that the youngsters always get their chance to prove their worth. Pity Mats Moller's team is relegated as I'm a big fan of him too.

Right then chaps, think you fellas will need to keep an eye on Joelinton from Hoffenheim. He got a transfer this summer to Hoffenheim, 18 years old and a striker. He just started and scored two goals in the first pre season match (which ended 16-0). Looks the part I must say!
Time for a "proper" match! Wolfsburg vs. Bayern, Supercup final. Time for Bayern to play a horrible first match of the season again!
