Did I dream the statement Rooney issued?He never did anything in both the transfer requests "openly". It was Fergie who made it public knowledge in both cases.

It's not his business to openly question our ambitions and thus the quality of teammates. The very next year we won the title and beat Chelsea to the title and beat them in the CL. It's not like the two clubs in England he could have joined have been winning trebles or something.
So despite his concerns actually being baseless (as only RM/Barca were really ahead of ourselves and it's not like they were desperate to get him), even if you assume they were true he should keep such statements out of the public as a player.
