If MARCA is a reliable source, Iker is going to Porto and that means DDG is most certainly going to Real.

I read Valdes is on his way to Turkey as well. United better get someone top notch because I don't think Keylor Navas is going to be #1.

With iker gone (and paid to leave) de gea to Madrid looks certain.

Valdes leaving suggests we're bringing in an experienced keeper that will be nailed on as number 1 (over Valdes) I can't see that being anyone other than Lloris.

If de Gea is leaving in this window, then it means that we have gotten ourselves a pretty good deal. Not fussed. If it is so aweful to play for United then he can bugger off.

I trust the club to get us a decent deal whatever happen. I mean they're desperate for a keeper now so we're either not letting him go for cheap or we have someone good lined up.

Changed my vote to no :(:(:( Casillas leaving is the final nail in the coffin. Deal will be done in the coming days i assume. Fairwell Dave you arsehole, could have stayed a couple more seasons.

I don't think Valdes isn't leaving.

The rumours of him going to Turkey came from the Antalyspor director saying they were looking at players of the calibre of Eto'o and Ronaldinho who they were looking to sign and then GOAL ran with the Valdes rumour. Apparently Ronaldinho is set to sign for Flamengo so i might be a case of the Antalyspor director being a bigmouth.

If DDG is going then we might see some movement with Ramos. Will be interesting how it plays out

Just read there's a lot of abusive tweets from Madrid fans to Casillas after they confirmed he's gone. Honestly, Dave has to be seriously pussy whipped or a masochist to still want to go there. He will be treated exactly the same eventually....
Seems such a poorly thought out decision:confused:
Dave's bloody nuts. Ah well..

I just saw an Oblak video trying to get myself excited...there was a DDG video in the recommended links.

de Gea's from another planet, and whenever we get these supernatural players, Madrid will take them away :(

Casillas leaving doesn't make a difference. They're signing that Espanyol keeper for that. Woody is still playing hardball with those Madrid cnuts.

Sad day,Iker is leaving. He didn't manage well his last days and the club either. Some of those offensive tweets come from "Mourinhistas",calling him topo(snitch).Every day they are less although they are still very noisy.Casilla is a good option to be substitute.

Supporters of Mourinho?
Didn't know he had Madrid fans who still liked him?

Too much politics. Reckon your Iker although sad to leave, is probably relieved to get away from all that....

I wonder if we could've approached the contract renewal slightly differently - like instead of offering DDG £200k a week to renew with us, what if we had offered him £100k and given the rest to his girlfriend in order to move her to Manchester/Cheshire? Set her up with that guy who represented the Beckhams a while ago (or whomever the modern equivilent is in the music industry) and sell her on the idea of becoming the next Shakira in the English-speaking music industry? Learn a bit of English and she'd at least get on one of the talent/reality/dancing shows over here.

That of course overlooks the traditional situation where the partner of a rich footballer has his money by default anyway, but still worth a go

Someone is going to get screwed here out of us and Madrid. We run the risk of no DDG or Valdes, and they are facing no Casillas and no Galactico to replace him.

I'm hopeful we would not be letting Valdes go if we knew DDG was off. If he wont re-sign lets force him to see out his contract and make Madrid be the ones to look stupid.

Woodward can sell Chevrolets in Europe, noodles in Asia, telecom in Suadi Arabia, but even he can't sell shit music in England.

I feel the same. If there was an alternative that madrid could go for, you would assume that they would also be more than decent enough for us.

Right now there is one world class keeper available only between 2 giant clubs.

As an outsider, I think United are being overly stubborn here. It would be nice to see Madrid sign a new deal with Ramos and take De Gea for free in January.

United pretending the ball is in their court when it's not, banking on Perez doing the stupid thing and rushing.

All makes you guys look a bit 'Tottenham' really. I guarantee most of you criticised Liverpool for not just letting Suarez go to a better team.. Don't see why this is so different.

Don't get offended. Just my two cents.

Well unlike Liverpool we're trying to become a "better team" than Real. We're not there yet. So that requires you not flogging them your best players if you can help it at all. De Gea hasn't said what he wants to do yet so there is still hope he signs a new contract. If he wants to leave then of course he'll be sold because we won't want to lose him on a free. I don't get whats so unusual about that. Being stubborn is what its all about and if you have to sell then being a "bit Tottenham" is not a bad thing to be tbf considering they're so stubborn they always get overpaid for their "talent".

United are playing it right so far. De Gea is the best in the world, and Real know that. The fact he's only got a year left on his contract, and won't negotiate a new one, should never lower his value.
Madrid are getting the world's best keeper who is nowhere near his prime yet. They'll have him for at least 12 years. No wonder we're holding out for at least £30M+. Bufon cost Juventus 50M euros if I remember.
Real are hugely in debt and don't want to pay the going rate for what they want, but they're determined to sell players for more than they're worth. Marca always assume that opposition teams are difficult negotiators, but the truth is, Real always want their cake and eat it. Well, Ed is gonna ram their cake down their throat this time. Bastards.

Exactly right, feck em if they wont pay it they can wait a year and we will have one more season with a top quality goal keeper who is already established in the team and although he wants away i think getting another season out of him would be far better for us than losing him and then having to chase around for a new keeper after we have already signed several new payers. Changing the spine of our team dramatically is only going to cause issues.

Id rather keep the spine as in tact as possible for one more year than take 30m quid and have to re build again at the last minute.

The number of people that assume that De Gea is "off" because Real have sold Casillas, haha. Whether they sign De Gea or not, Casillas was clearly not going to be their number 1 keeper next season and they have been trying to offload him for sometime now but could not due to his huge pay off. De Gea is definitely not off because of this. United are playing it well, if De Gea and Mendes [whom I've never been a fan of] are so desperate to join Real Madrid then let them push Perez to agree on our terms, it's as simple as that. You are one of the best GK's in the world, playing at a club that has NEVER held any player against their will, you're managed by an agent who this club has indulged severally, and yet, you decide that the best way for you to get a move away is to refuse to sign a contract that would atleast give us a better leverage on the matter, forget about that friends, relatives and hometown bullshit, this is actually very disappointing to say the very least.

If Oblak is available this summer, it's best for us to sell De Gea this summer. And we are changing the spine of the team, that's the plan.

Too much change could set us back though. Why not keep De Gea and buy Oblak this summer, then ease him in over the course of the season? :D

Yeah he was clearly becoming a liability. And Real have aleady put in a bit for Espanyol's keeper. Espanyol want 10M for him, but Real only offered 3M. They are tighter than a Camel's arse in a sandstorm.

Double negative :nono:

What on earth do you mean?
