Bundesliga 2015/2016

I'm happy to see Kimmich as a starter and a bit surprised that Ulreich plays to be honest. I always got the impression that Neuer starts no matter what (when fit of course). Rode still out because of that knock he received against Real, I assume?

Pep usually plays the 2nd GK in cup matches against lesser opponents (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

:D Pep really doesn't trust anyone in that pivot role, does he!

Looking at last season, Pep's perfect pivote seems to be someone slow and sluggish, without any desire to go or pass forward while being very suspect on defense, especially under pressure. Sadly, only Alonso fits the bill in our squad.

Yes. Rode is out because of that. But nothing serious. He already told on twitter yesterday that he did not travel.

Kinda. I think Pep would give his 2nd goalkeeper all cup matches like it's common at Barca and I actually like that idea if you have an established goalkeeper on the bench instead of a young talent or past his peak old one. As I understand it, Neuer accepts a bit rotation, but wants to play the important cup matches as well. So Ulreich will most likely get a few games, cup matches against lower division teams and a few Bundesliga games against weaker sides before or after important CL/cup games.

Penalty for Bayern. Much needed practice.

1:0 Vidal.

Does Vidal ever finish a game without seeing a yellow card?

God, our defense sucks. Even with 4 wing backs, we still get run over. By fecking Nöttingen. 1:1...

We're not taking this seriously, do we? Wouldn't be surprised if this ends something like 8-3

They look like they don't give a real shit, but I can't say I like this attitude.

Not even the referee is enough to save Hamburg from humilitation anymore.

Edit: feck, just saw they equalized... damnit.

Depends on which side of the arguemnt you come down to, but if God and the Devil exist one of them is travelling with the Hamburger SV. You cannot perform worse and have more luck than this club.

Awesome. Especially after getting gifted that goal by the refs. Hope they go out.

Edit: okay my stream is really far behind, thought you were still reacting to the 2-1 for Jena.

Go pay for watching football for feck sake. Or at least look for a better stream.

Don't perform, never give a shit, still get lucky all the time? I know who it is...

I am paying, but I'm watching Bayern now and just assumed the game had ended 2:1. :(

I really feel for Hamburg fans, especially @gofelx . This is the ultimate torture for a football fan of a 'big' club. Those last minute survivals just to get the next hammering. At one point, a clear cut failure would at least be a relief. I'm sure all HSV fans are looking forward to next Friday :D.

I feel only sorry for @gofelx since he's the only HSV fan I know.

I fully expect Jena to score an own goal now and then Hamburg to lose the penalty shootout.

Step 1 for Labbadia towards losing his job accomplished. Hamburg is in for another chaos season.

Deserved win for Jena in the end! I have no idea what we were trying to do, especially in extra time. Everybody looked like he didn't give a *. The 2-2 in injury time was comical.
My only hope is Demirbay.

It´s not the coach. Their team is just trash. They were just lucky last year AGAIN. Literally pulling goals out of/scoring with their ass. Late equalizers in 2-3 games with opponents hitting the woodwork on numerous occasions. Stuttgart were in relegation trouble, cause they had an atrocious backline and probably still have. In Hamburg the whole team from back to front is just trash. Another year in the bottom five awaits.

Nah the squad is certainly good enough to finish 10th-13th.
Adler is a good gk, Spahic is an experienced cb. Our midfield with Ekdal, Diaz, Kacar, Holtby, Demirbay and Jung is pretty strong in my opinion. With Lasogga, Olic and Schipplock we have 3 strikers who are midtable level.
We show that we are good enough in some games, even last season. Wins against Dortmund, Leverkusen and Schalke are not just luck.
And even when we had stronger squads in the past we always underperformed.

But (at least in the past) we didn't show the right mentality in a lot of matches. Against "small" opponents we lost because of lack of concentration and lack of inventiveness. Just like today, nobody really seemed to care. This is worrying because, at least in the last few matches with Labbadia, the team spirit was fantastic. I seriously hope this was just one of those special cup games... :(

Hoffenheim, Hamburg and most likely Ingolstadt, looks like 3 Bundesliga clubs are already out. Wouldn't be surprised if one of Hannover, Mainz or Hertha followed them.

Why do the German caftards hate Hamburg so much? Are they basically the Bundesliga Sunderland?

thats the problem with most of those players isn´t it? Hamburg doesn´t care enough about character/mentality when signing players.

Set pieces used to be a real weapon of the team, but the set piece taker have clearly struggled for a while now. The defense of them is a clear problem for even longer. Maybe not worse than Bayern but certainly not better either.

Only speaking for myself, but they are just so frustrating. 2nd biggest city in germany, were on a good track to establish themselves as a good team just to waste all their resources and become a joke, but the worst part is that their suckyness hasn't been punished for 2 years in a row now.

Its their freaking clock, which celebrates that they somehow never got relegated in the Bundesliga history. They would have deserved half a dozen of times by now.

Can't be as bad as the Berlin teams?
