Bundesliga 2015/2016

Schalke's Lineup:

----------1.96
1.74---1.95--1.90--1.84
--------1.81--1.89
1.91----------------1.87
--------1.93--1.86

Höwedes should be playing as RB to round things off.

Typical Schalke goal... feck off..

Where are you getting the gifs?
reddit matchthreads. They're fecking awesome for finding gifs. Lately they mostly post streamable instead of gifycat, which you can't embed but they're pretty cool because they're usually longer and show the build-up for the goals as well.

@Balu

Thanks, I'll look into that.

Really nice goal from Leverkusen, I like how calm they passed each other the ball in/around the box. A bit untypical for them.

So reddit has finally created something usuable? The world is full of miracles...

It's still fecking confusing to use that website. But google helps finding the matchthreads you're looking for and you can ignore the rest

I'm not sure they actually meant it the way it turned out. They had so many players in and around the box and Hoffenheim looked as if they were all asleep. Very odd goal, but Kießling loves to score against Hoffenheim. His scoring rate against Hoffenheim has to be crazy high.

I also like how Leverkusen recycled the left over German world cup jerseys. Very eco friendly.

I can embed them on other forums. Not on here unfortunately.

Don't want to delve too much into off topic, but I think it's better this way, especially for mobile users.

Someone started a thread about it in the mod forum, so maybe it'll work soon.

The countless gifs on the Caf made me block all pics and videos in my webbrowser when I use mobile internet. Especially because sometimes people posted huge huge gifs instead of compressed versions and it made it impossible to read the threads. Now I don't really care anymore and enjoy seeing and using gifs when I'm at home with regular internet.

Heller's first Bundesliga goal but not Darmstadt's we actually played in the Bundesliga before during the late seventies and early eighties.
I actually knew that, no idea why I wrote that

Wasn't there a big announcement yesterday that holding in the penalty box will be punished a lot more this season? Stupid from Darmstadt, but what a shit penalty . Still 2-1.

End results:

Bayer Leverkusen - Hoffenheim 2:1
Bremen - Schalke 0:3
Mainz - Ingolstadt 0:1
Augsburg - Hertha 0:1
Darmstadt - Hannover 2:2

Schalke with an impressive win. Geis looked excellent in midfield from what I've seen. Ingolstadt with a fantastic start in their first ever Bundesliga season. Darmstadt - Hannover ends in a crazy draw. Augsburg couldn't turn it around after both teams went down to 10 men and Leverkusen looked a bit like I expected and deserved the narrow win. So far all top teams with a win, which will change in the next game.

Dortmund - Gladbach coming up in an hour.

BVB: Bürki - Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Schmelzer - Weigl, Gündogan - Mkhitaryan, Reus, Kagawa - Aubameyang
On the bench: Weidenfeller, Bender, Hofmann, Ramos, Castro, Ginter, Kampl

Great to see Weigl start next to Gündogan, he deserves it after the fantastic pre-season he had.

Quite poor by him. Was he the one with best stops ratio in bundesliga.2 last season?

He´s very very very poor controlling his box. Like really really really poor. Like exceptionally atrocious. He SUCKS at it. He also seems to have the slowest reaction times I have ever seen from a goalie. Maybe they need to let him play some Super Mario or Tetris so it improves.

He had a strong defense in front of him and he´s very good on the line. But as a team like Darmstadt you cannot carry a goalie that makes such horrible errors regularly.

Bremen need a defensive midfielder. Bargfrede and Fritz are simply not good enough.

I don't really know why Mainz didn't strengthen their team at all so far. They sold Okazaki and Geis a long time a go and are sitting on a ton of money doing nothing with it.

Augsburg was insanely unlucky today but they also need to invest a lot of money I feel. I see players like Esswein (was ok today in fairness) and Caiuby in the team who are not Bundesliga quality... And they're playing in Europe!

Borussia Mönchengladbach XI: Sommer - Jantschke, Schulz, Christensen, Wendt - Stindl, Xhaka - Traoré, Johnson - Raffael - Drmic

Drmic starts, really hope he does well. Still don't understand why Leverkusen gave him so few chances and then sold him so soon. I expect him to excel under Favre.

Tbh he looked crap last year for Leverkusen just like in the National team. Everyone refers to his "good" minutes to goal ratio but he is really not great with the ball at his feet and is also not a clinical striker. He will score a decent amount of goals but I don't think he will be anything special. Bayer was clever to sell him for such a high fee.

Weigl starting is really not as much of a sensation as the Sky "experts" make it out to be.

Kagawa in the first eleven is more surprising for me.
