Fair play if you didn't but I remember reading this from the newbs when we signed him and loads did! As well as lots of opposition telling us how we'd overpaid for a crock.I didn't think that when we bought RVP - I was delighted...and as if Madrid fans care about how much they spend.
Oh why not.Trust me.

Well I'll grow that much if we sign a galactico.
You mean exactly like Van Gaal did last season?
Did he really? You mean exactly like Van Gaal did last season?
may be. I can't say I am a good judge of GKs potential and their making it or not as they have a different role to other players. But to me, signing experience makes sense this season while we could go for potential next once we have our defence sorted for good. I don't think Navas is a bad goal keeper at all. He was the best goalkeeper in La Liga when Courtois was still playing for AM. He's not Fabianski or Mignelot imo. It's always hard to judge just how far a talent can go, but to me Leno is more rounded than Stegen and certainly more suited to the PL with the attributes to get up there with Courtoius, although I have a fancy that Karius may leapfrog him. This is the main factor for me, the PL is a different animal in general to other leagues and certainly where the keeping position is concerned.

You can't replace a player except with other players and money. He was never going to stay so we did the very best possible is my point
Apparently he was on his way to Trasbonzpor before Chelsea stepped..27 year old Senegalese defender..He's no Stones
Records are meant to be sold.
yeah by selling them for cheap next season.Records are meant to be broken.
makes sense. we and west brom sold our record signings this season. no surprise we are supplying them with players.fixed

De gea was 21. Navas is turning 29 in a couple months. There was a time that DDG couldn't. Look at him now.
no. I got it. I couldn't laugh because I remembered Di Maria then. You totally missed my excellent joke.
I'm convinced (just a feeling) both United and Madrid are sugar coating this deal.
Where has Ducker got £15m for Navas from?!? He cost them less than £8m a year ago didn't he?
Yeah his profile may have increased but he's hardly become a better player. He was very good and he still is now, seemingly no better and no worse.
can Leno or other keeper deal with crosses on a regular basis then? I don't think Bundesliga is about crosses only though. It's not about how good he was in La Liga though, the requirements to be a good keeper there are very different to here. The first thing I look at when I think of a keeper for a PL team is can he cope with the ball in the air, Navas can't and that's why I think he'll cost us more points than we may be able to afford.

you probably would "give a chance" to a squad who had sauntered to the previous year's title though wouldn't you
