"Its not a safety net anymore, its become a big snuggly duvet"
Julia Hartley fecking rocks.

Yeah, stupid question. Even those wanting us to take more will say of course not.The first questioner phrased her question poorly I thought. It should have been 'how many refugees should the UK be willing to take?' not 'should the UK take more refugees than we can cope with?'
You're fine, it's the right who get shot down on redcafe.Ah that makes a lot of sense, as I'm semi-Marxist in my views (don't shoot me!).
He's awful. Really cheap jibe about bankers, which is a bit rich given Labour's record of cosying up to the City under Blair.Wow, Labour guy is on fire. Maybe the shadow cab isn't doomed.
He's lightweight compared to Ken Clarke- his library cut is just sweeping crap. Yanis's views on QE being wrongly seen as a means of improving productivity. It was however wrongly thought it would go straight into the real economy rather than shore up banks balance sheets.Chris Bryant is an excellent public speaker, can see him getting into government in a top position eventually.

Agree that it was a silly jibe, but it was made with him fully conscious that the crowd would lap it upHe's awful. Really cheap jibe about bankers, which is a bit rich given Labour's record of cosying up to the City under Blair.
Not by me in fairness -- I have no problem with Tory voters. I just disagree with them on lots of things. Some very sensible and nice people though. You're fine, it's the right who get shot down on redcafe.
Exactly, he's getting away with these jibes and seems competent. I was expecting a member of Corbyn's shadow cabinet to be scarcely capable of speech. He's awful. Really cheap jibe about bankers, which is a bit rich given Labour's record of cosying up to the City under Blair.
Wonder how it'll be brought up. "Should we be concerned that our prime minister got his dick into a pig's mouth like?"No mention of pig-gate yet. Do you reckon the BBC has deliberately chosen to duck it?
I like the fact that it's been ignored, it's populist nonsense driven by a Lord with an axe to grind. However, the revelations regarding Cameron's awareness of Ashcroft's tax status are very important and should be raised. No mention of pig-gate yet. That's everything that's wrong with this programme and sadly what this show has descended into.Agree that it was a silly jibe, but it was made with him fully conscious that the crowd would lap it up

Yeah, I think there will be an exodus as you imagine it, due to time doctors have to work in this country comparative to other countries where the hours are less and the pay is just as good, or better.Brought it up in another thread, but the junior doctor thing is not fear mongering from the left. I'd say a good 60-70% of us are planning to leave in a year or two, it's not even a question.

That UKIP woman is an embarrassment
We need a definitive answer on the skull fecked it to ejaculation or just dangled his shrivelled, flaccid cock in it.I like the fact that it's been ignored, it's populist nonsense driven by a Lord with an axe to grind. My mate studied medicine back in the 90s and the same issue of their ridiculous hours has been around for at least two decades from my limited personal experience tbf.Brought it up in another thread, but the junior doctor thing is not fear mongering from the left. Bryant's growing on me- nice bit of banter with that woman and he has a bit of personality and a sense of humour- may not agree with his policies but he is personable. Am on a delay remember, so am on the Defra/meat bit right now. Yeah that pension guy tanked btw!
What would be new is that the Prime Minister lied, on record, over the issue. That's what Corbyn highlighted, and for good reason. The non-dom issue is surely not new though, really? He's lived in Belize in for yonks hasn't he?
My junior doctor mate argument too. Lost touch but he stuck with it and was a consultant last I heard. Also known as the "My Manc mate" defence.
Being personable is one of the most important things in politics. People may know little about you, but if they like you you can go far. Look at that feckwit BoJo for a good example, Farage too.
Playing devil's advocate, it is possible he didn't know the exact ins and outs of his domicile details- not exactly an opening convo gambit, albeit if he didn't, he probably should't have. Amazing how Ashcroft is now a gospel source rather than a shady bugger himself. What would be new is that the Prime Minister lied, on record, over the issue. I've never disliked Clarke. I thought he should have been leader when Cameron ran circa 05 or whenever that was. He's a serious politician. EU is a very sticky issue for the Tories though. You didn't answer- what do you make of Ken Clarke? If it wasn't for his EU stance, he would've been a great leader for the Conservatives.
Yeah, agreed, but sadly it was a deal-breaker. It's sad, he was meant to be the keynote speaker at one of my company's conferences earlier this year but had to cancel because his wife had gone into a coma- she died shortly afterwards. Selfishly, I was looking forward to meeting and interviewing him.I've never disliked Clarke. I thought he should have been leader when Cameron ran circa 05 or whenever that was. I don't know. If the conversation's attributed to Cameron in that book are accurate it hints a lot, that he definitely did know what he was doing. Again, the veracity of Ashcroft is what needs to be decided. Easy to dismiss it, so can't see Cameron getting too worried over it. Good stuff for Corbyn though.Playing devil's advocate, it is possible he didn't know the exact ins and outs of his domicile details- not exactly an opening convo gambit, albeit if he didn't, he probably should't have. Am a big Andrew Neil fan. Nice Diane Abbott/Corbyn penetrative sex-gate reference in the intro. Finally the pig gets a mention!Anyone watching This Week? I'm liking this woman.
That bloke comparing his 10 quid with the economy of the country![]()
It was fecking ridiculous. Like lecturing people on how to get CERN working again by talking about how you fixed your kid's Scalextrics set.

The second pig reference was quite good tooAm a big Andrew Neil fan. Nice Diane Abbott/Corbyn penetrative sex-gate reference in the intro. Finally the pig gets a mention!
Definitely. He should've been a bond villain rather than a politician. But then, who would we base bond villains on?Jacob Rees-Mogg is a bit sinister.
He's clearly a very intelligent bloke, but not exactly a man of the people. Always quite liked Alan Johnson, even if I don't always/often agree with him.Definitely. He should've been a bond villain rather than a politician. But then, who would we base bond villains on?
I think my favourite was "It's late now, dead pig's head kind of late"He's clearly a very intelligent bloke, but not exactly a man of the people. Always quite liked Alan Johnson, even if I don't always/often agree with him.
He's putting me off my Frazzles!
EDIT:He's having a field day here.
When people in politics or people who are talking about politics use the word 'debate'.
E.g.
- 'it's about time we have this debate'
- 'we need to have a debate'
- 'its good to have this debate'
- 'its good that it happened so we can now all have the debate'
You get the picture. This 'debate' that is spoken of is completely non-existent. Nothing is debated and nothing is changed, it's just something big happens and people start saying the word 'debate' lots of times over and over again until something else happens that we can have another phantom debate about.
This also pisses me off.I would like to bring in this post I made some time ago in another thread and make reference to it:
To carry on the theme, why on earth would someone on the panel of Question Time actually do this WHILST MEANT TO BE HAVING A DEBATE! The fcuking show is for debates you plebian dullards, not a platform for the declaration of a debate. Seven hells!
