In Smalling's pocket (as every other person)
Great talent. He's a striker who can play on the wings too and has had a very impressive debut season. Began the season aged 17. He's scored a decent amount of goals but has recorded a very big amount of assists too in his first season. He's strong, pacey, skillful, can finish and also has good link up play. Definitely one to look out for the future.

Think Basel is the right place for him to develop atm, they play very attractive football.

Obligatory video ;

Saw him two times and made me hope we'd sign him someday.

Looks really promising. Particularly impressed with some of unselfish passes he makes in the vid which are quite rare for such a young striker.

Wow, I'd heard of him and knew he'd had a good season but I didn't realise he was that complete. Certainly one to keep an eye on.

Breely embolieavable talent.

..

Sorry :(

Wasn't his best cameo, but you could tell he's hard to deal with. Really hope we go for him next summer.

Thought he caused more problems than anyone else in the Swiss team

Love the player as do the Bâle faithful. Even against Slovenia, remarkable that the local crowd was chanting his name in the 60th minute to be brought on when they were down 0-2. The feeling is so strong for the player that he's already believed to change the complexion of a match with his very presence. True to Suisse form, they are bringing him along slowly but Petković uses him as a super sub atm.

In truth, I think his greatest asset is intelligence & touch, he has an excellent understanding of the game and links up well with teammates. He is going to be a star, IMHO

Scored the winning goal on the weekend against Young Boys Bern. Just read an interview with him and he has a fantastic attitude. Modest and determined. He speaks French, German and English. Currently he's mostly playing on the right and doing well there.

Having watched him a fair bit in the last few months, he has become the player I want us to go after more than anyone else. Absolutely brilliant and I've said this before, but in my eyes he looks as talented as Martial.

I think he probably has the same potential, but he's not as good as Martial is now. He's a very exciting player I hope we see more of. Would love to ship Depay out for him at the moment, his attitude stinks. (kneejerk)

Which is why I wrote talented. Embolo basically looks as good as Martial looked at Monaco.

Haven't seen loads, but he's certainly impressed me with the times I've seen him in the CL last season. Didn't realise he was so young at first, so was shocked when I started hearing big clubs being linked. Wouldn't have made sense if he was 24 or something. Makes sense as he's 18 though.

Haven't seen him in a regular game but those highlights show a very good player. Actually his dribbling style to me resembles Martial. Also seems to have good change of pace, good awareness with good passing, does seem to be strong too although that could just be the Swiss league.

Anybody seen more of him in full games?

Saw him against England and you could see the massive potential he had that game.

Basel fans love him, chant his name to be subbed on whenever he's not in the lineup. Just ordered his kit for me & my nephew

Swiss paper 'blick' are saying that we have been watching him. I think they are more reliable, not sure though.

Anyone think he would be willing to leave in January.

He could, but I don't think it's the best idea for his development currently. It would be asking a lot to have an impact on our season and considering how we are playing.

He looks very raw and is playing in a poor league, if our attack was in prime condition he'd be worth a punt to develop, but it's not and we already have several young players in the same boat.

He's been very good for Switzerland and in the Europa League, but even as a big fan of his, I have to admit that we currently need players like Lukaku, Kane or Griezmann more.

I stand corrected, I've only seen him play in the CL against us and in a couple of league games for Basel on BT Sport, not seen him for Switzerland. That's what I am thinking as well, we need a couple of attacking additions that are more established and ready to deliver.

I am confused, am I missing something? Don't you mean against England?

My mistake, I thought he was playing for Brugge against us in the CL qualifier before moving to Basel for some reason, I must have him mixed up with a young striker prospect they have.

First look at the name I thought it was the new bad guy from Star Wars

Love, love, love the player but believe it's still a bit early for a big move for him. Rather see him play more before inevitably leaving for a bigger club
