Post-match discussion

To be fair we should have scored there, it was nowhere as near as the other 0-0 shite we have seen

Ridiculous. It's pathetic that this sort of match is almost exactly what we expected. This is not a teething problem with the 'philosophy', the problem is the fecking 'philosophy'.

The players themselves need to look at themselves too. Wasteful in the final third.

It just seems like we dont have the players to be able to take advantage of any good that comes out of having 65% possesion..

Five goalless draws in nine games is clearly unacceptable.

The finishing was shit today, though.

This shit is unacceptable. Fecking hell, probably would have been leading the scoring prediction if I predicted 0-0 every game.

The sooner Van Gaal gets the feck ot of the club, the better for my sanity. And likely, many other fans.

Deserved to win. So many fecking chances missed. Terrible terrible finishing.

Oh and the commentator was a fecking cnut.
West Ham struck the post twice and had a one-on-one!

We were not unlucky, it was a tight game and another mediocre performance to our catalogue.

Enjoyed watching our attack after a good while. Probably since Everton. The tempo was much better. But we just don't look convincing in an attacking sense. Today it wasn't creating chances, it was finishing and final third play. But either way, LVG can't get our attack working, and it's become a big problem now.

Definitely did not deserve to win. They hit the post twice and missed a sitter. West Ham easily created the clearer chances.

Five of our last nine games have finished 0-0. Not only are we crap but we're the most boring side in the Premier League.

Apart from Schneiderlin, Martial, Smalling and DdG; who's good enough for our starting eleven? Depay got the potential but the rest are not good enough to be anything other than squad players.

I've been pretty supportive up to now but after another 0-0, it just isn't acceptable. I know the players didn't have their shooting boots on today but our general play is still holding us back for the most part. Too laboured and far too average. Go out of the CL to Wolfsburg, which is honestly likely, then I think I've had enough. The reaction of the crowd today seems to indicate the same.

Our lack of tempo and urgency when were not winning is the most worrying thing. We panic instead of putting teams to siege in the final 10 minutes.

  • We won possession stats
  • Gained a point
  • We’re in the title race
  • We’re still in the Champions League
LvG is going to leave a world dominating team for his successor

Good game for the neutral.

The fact that this is the case against a very under strength west ham team tells you everything you need to know.

I await the morons who will say, "see dropping Rooney did nothing..."

(Let's try it without Fellaini as his replacement, or at least give it 5 or 6 games first)

Anyway..

Pathetic result.

Dropping Rooney is pointless if you play Fellaini in his place. Either play Fellaini where he's best suited, midfield or don't play him.

Lingard should not be starting and it's unfair on him to keep expecting good performances. He was poor today.

Martial tried his best but not much coming.

I knew when I saw the amount of forward passes that Michael Carrick was making that plenty on here would say he played good/great. I haven't checked his thread or any of the feedback but I quite frankly, thought he was one of the main problems today. Passing forward isn't good if it's a hospital pass every fecking time. Pointless player - get rid. Doesn't use his brain and looked like he was exhausted near the end.

Depay looked good when he came on.

That's about it.

Van Gaal ultimately takes the blame. It's his squad, he built it, he trains them and he picks these poor performers.

People saying we're only 1 or 2 points behind the leaders, ahead of our rivals etc are talking balls. It's a total false economy.

We should be clear at the top by a few points with everyone else faltering, the fixtures we've dropped points from with these draws is nowhere near good enough.

One attempt on target today
2 last week, both bastian headers
5 0-0 draws in the last 9 games.

Totally boring, incohesive shite. An absolute pain to watch.

Nobody can finish chances, it's that simple.

We've had far worse games than that this season.

We should've scored in the last 20 min, but they should've scored 3 before that. So, all in all - another great day.

A bit of luck for either side and they would have won it.

For me the biggest mistake was starting Fellaini over Perreira or Depay. We only looked like getting something from the game at the end and by then it was too late. I'm not in the Van Gaal out camp but something needs to change otherwise I wouldn't be disappointed with him leaving at the end of the season.

Van Gaals sideline demeanor tells me enough. He's clueless and deflated. I don't even want to imagine the atmosphere in the dressing room, but seeing how most players are drastically underperforming it can't be all that good.

I think that means Liverpool will be just three points behind us after they finish beating on Newcastle tomorrow - we've definitely got a battle on for the top 4.

Five 0-0's in nine games is unacceptable. Playing boring is fine if you win, but we're not even doing that. How has this club turned in to this? If there's a less entertaining team to watch anywhere in world football I'd be surprised.
