Well the fact that I barely even realised he was still at the club until last week makes him feel like a LVG player...
I'd get him a one way ticket to Portugal.
Jesus also says one must repent of his/her wrongdoing. I think the fans are still all waiting for some humility from the manager. Let's be brutally honest; with the amount of money he's spent, and the poverty of results, he's been one of the worst managers in our history.
True story, I always had to play one of the wisemen when we did the nativity when I was young... Largely because I was the only brown person in the class.

The players doesn't look happy. The management looks nervous and without ideas. There is no energy or inspiration, more fear or anxiousness. We need two or three good results in a row otherwise I think LvG can't turn this ship around.

The forum is clearly in melt-down. No question about it now. But people need to get a grip.
We have a major injury crisis where most of our defenders are injured. And their back ups are injured. And now we are essentially playing with a 3rd string.
Half the team is now made up of reserve players and I feel that LVG is doing as a good a job as he possibly can.
Man for man, name for name (DDG excepted), if somebody gave you the names of the starting XI yesterday (without telling you which team they were playing for), you'd think that that team were from a lower division team.
Some of you guys are expecting miracles.
In any case, the people who run our club will give LVG more time. If the injuries improve (which, they will eventually) but our performances don't improve, he will be moved on. No doubt about it. The final result is what counts.
But while we are playing with half a reserve team, LVG will not be sacked and no manager would even want to take over, as he'd lose those early games until our senior players return.
What will be intersting is LVGs stance on buying January. Under normal circumstances, LVG would not buy a player in January, as he is after absolute quality, but given that his job may now be on the line, it will be interesting if he changes this stance and buys some squad players.

All of which is LVGs fault for starting the season with a ridiculously small squad when we all knew full well that injuries were a distinct possibility.
Even with a fully fit squad the level of performances are shocking!
I have a feeling that with LVG's job on the line, he will won't be so accommodating to Rooney now.
It will be very interesting to see if LVG changes his philosophy (my captain shall always play), when Rooney recovers from injury.
Yesterday, in his post match interview, it looked like he was genuinely beaten (he didn't say that we dominated the game, but were unlucky) and he now realises that he needs results and that playing with a passenger is no longer an option.
His strategy is to use youth players as back-ups to ensure that the team does have some home-grown talent in it. I don't think anybody could argue with that idea (we all want to see home grown talent play in our first team). The fact that the back ups have also got injured, is something he did not expect.
With a fully fit squad, we were boring. Very boring. But our results were decent and we were close to the top of the league (and still are).
I wouldn't say shocking.
What back ups? Shaw doesn't really have a back up and Blind is meant to be a starting centre half!
Also. Our attack was made up of first teamers... So no excuse for them being crap.
This is without mentioning that his youths as back-up strategy is fecking stupid... As is being proven at the moment.
- di Maria: A flop but we recouped much of the money. It's hard to know why this move failed. It was probably partly bad management and ADM just no being bothered. I blame ADM more than LVG.
- Herrera: Has been good but underused.
- Rojo: He was never *that* good, was he?
- Memphis: Good at the start but form has really petered out. I think it's due to him adjusting to the PL and the wrong tactics being used.
- Mata: I don't think he's a flop but that he isn't being used right. I'd play him at 10 over Rooney.
- Fellaini: Not a flop either. He actually does pretty well considering we keep using crappy tactics and need an outlet.
- Schneiderlin: Not a flop either but one of our most important players. Remember the Arsenal game?
- Bastian: We got him for what? 6m?
- Darmian: He's actually been pretty good.
That was precisely my point. Not a single LvG signing has performed to their potential.
I recently started a new job, and it took me all of three/four weeks to become accustomed to the job and requirements. Yet a professional footballer needs how long, in the case of our summers signings? Schneiderlin and Darmian are two players who I rated quite highly and neither have been above average for us. Bastian and Memphis have been quite poor, themselves. Martial is still very young and has gone off the boil, expectedly. But yeah, the excuses come out in their numbers. 3 months are required, then 6 months, no at least an entire season. Why on earth did these guys choose football as their profession?
As for the foundations, what are they? Our defense is a shambles without Smalling. De Gea was already a brilliant keeper before van Gaal came. So, what are these mystical foundations laid by van Gaal? Bastian and Carrick look like they need replacing in the summer, leaving only a relatively disappointing Schneiderlin as our midfielder. Herrera doesn't seem to be rated at all. As for the defense, Jones needs replacing. Darmian has been poor, himself. Blind, as impressive as he's been, just won't do as a CB. We're still waiting on Shaw, albeit looks like he's going to be a brilliant player, however, he was a target long before van Gaal. Foundations my fecking arse. We're not even as good as we were last year.
Do you think LvG should be getting more out of them? Well, feck yeah, that's his fecking job. Let's make this clear, I don't think any of the players we bought were average before they came here. However, they been utterly average since they signed for us.

But whats that got to do with anything? Unless your job is playing professional football I fail to see how it has any relevance whatsoever to whether the players have adapted quickly or not.
And lets not forget the history, too. Plenty of very successful players here have had difficult first seasons, Vidic and Evra are two stalwarts, both were written off. Ronaldo took about 2 seasons before his very obvious potential turned him into a very important player. Nani took even longer before his inconsistent performances gave way to a player who, for two seasons, was the best at the club (the less said about his drop off the cliff after that the better). There's more examples too, and there's examples the other way. How quickly did Di Maria hit the ground running before turning to shite? How good was Van Persie's first year compared to his second two?
Even Matteo Darmian a player you've said has been 'little above average' hit the ground running and absolutely stormed the first few games, leading him to a player of the month award. What about Martial whose very, very impressive opening few games has now seem him score what? 1 goal in 10 games or something like that.
The point is, these are all good players, most of whom have done very well at other clubs or under other managers. None of whom are average because they've played less than 20 games under Van Gaal and this insipid 'philosophy'.
We've got a bunch of good players, a bunch that Van Gaal isn't getting the best out of, but the suggestion they're average because of that is just bizarre. You also are making a string of tenuous points, who doesn't rate Herrara? Van Gaal? Why does that matter if we're talking about a future without him? Why won't Blind do as a centre-back? Because of this myth that he can't cope with big and strong players despite doing it week in week out? He might not be first choice, but he's very clearly an option there. Why are we 'waiting' on Shaw when the performances he's given us suggest he's already one of the best left-backs in the world? Unless you're going to blame Van Gaal for that horrific tackle. Why are we writing Darmian off?
We obviously need more, a partner for Smalling, a new centre-midfielder, some attackers. But thats it for me, couple that with a manger who will get the best out of what we've got here and I can't really see how that can be argued with.

No, the forum is recognizing that we're looking like an utterly rubbish team this season with 3 wins in 14, knocked out of a piss-take CL group and it's all come to a head following a pathetic loss to Championship level Bournemouth. Try again.
This injury crisis nonsense is a complete cop out, we had close to our first 11 out for our 0-0's against West Ham and PSV, two of our worst home performances, it's not like this run of awful form started with a few injuries, it started weeks ago and has simply worsened with each game. Half made up of reserves? Wat? We started with close to our first choice front 4 and Carrick/Fellaini are regulars, McNair is a regular sub, Johnson and Varela yes but who was the one who decided to gut the squad depth? How can this be used as an excuse? It's an indictment of the managers horrific squad management, nothing else.
Who was the one given unprecedented financial backing over 3 transfer windows? Who's team is this? The laughable state and poor performance of this team is down to one man and only one man, it was he who sold our depth, brought just one striker in last summer and it's he who cannot get anything close to the best out of a squad that is at least good enough to beat Bournemouth. The team looks like a soulless shell playing with no direction or motivation and has looked clueless going forward for almost all this season, that is his responsibility.
Good god we all hope this doesn't happen.
Our performances have been retched for almost his entire time here, save for a few weeks last March, we got away with a few 1-0 here and there this season but it's clear the wheels are falling off and it started well before this 'biblical injury crisis.' His failure to get through a joke CL group is a massive black mark on him and with our current form we're only going to continue a slide down the table. The results have dried up and are now coinciding with our terrible performances, but the killer is that we've shown almost no progress on last season, in fact going backwards in many aspects and I'd hope the board and Woodward recognize this and do the decent thing.

We were losing games even with our missing 'senior' players, and this just reads as a cop out, basically excusing LVG for our current results for whatever convenient reason that's currently available. Be it 'Rooney', 'Mata', 'Rubbish squad', 'Bad luck', 'Injuries'. It's tiring at this stage, LVG has to be responsible at some stage surely?
Seeing how he's already pissed away an absolute fortune I and many other United fans are hoping he's not here to get a chance at another transfer window. The fact that we're talking about another 'big spend' in his fourth transfer window, considering the already huge outlay, is a joke as we're still trying to find the perfect players for his precious system. What if these new players don't work out? Another splurge in the summer? Do we continue this inane process until LVG gets bored with it? When does the club finally say, 'Alright Louis, you've spent enough, now you actually have to get the team you have to perform on the pitch before we trust you with another motherload'.
He's brought nothing positive to the team is his time here outside of a scrappy 4th place finish and his tactics, selections, lack of adaptability and putrid squad management have left us with hardly no improvement in two years in spite of the ridiculous amounts spent. We stand to gain nothing by having him continue on right now.

He consistently puts out a team less than the sum of its parts, despite having had three windows and endless money to address our issues. And we're all supposed to buy into this 'jam tomorrow' idea that it'll all click, or we'll suddenly become brilliant when he leaves.

Currently outside of the CL places and as close to 7th as we are to 1st. We could be 6 points off the pace if Leicester win tomorrow.
